Hey Spartiata, as far as I know I am the only other person in the community living in Italy (altho I am sure there are some lurkers). I am English, but living and working out here, located between Venezia and Treviso.

Can I ask as an Italian what made you support Spurs? It's an interesting choice as most Italians are very passionate about Italian football and then only really know the teams who regularly qualify for the Champions League.

Good to have you here.

Add one more to the squad. Moved from the UK to Abruzzo last Oct.

Don't have Sky Italia and reduced to watching matches on an online equivalent of ceefax called Livescore. This isn't a great football area. The nearest SerieA team - Ascoli - got relegated to SerieB last season. And the local SerieB team - Pescara - went down to SerieC. Bit like living in the NE or Birmingham lol.

There's the ManU factor here too in that 99% support one of he Milans or Juve even tho we're 100s of miles away. Everyone hates Lazio. And one poor deluded mate supports Atalanta.

All football fans here have heard of THFC - but that's unfortunately about as far as it goes. They don't know any players. But that will change.

Forza Tottenham. Arsenal di Merda

Wow, 3 of us now. Great to know and good to have you here. Keep popping in and let me know how things are going. Ascoli? My nearest team is Treviso who are in Serie B as well, been to see them a couple of times and they are pretty bad. Went to Udinese v Inter last week which was much better quality but a bit of a trek to get to.

I was born in italy and lived there till I was 11 years old..... my team was INTER...... When I got to England there was no way of really knowing, what was happenning with teams on a daily basis like nowadays......so THFC was my new choice.....loved them ever since COYS.....(Still a bit jealous that you get to see INTER though).

Why SPURS? :shrug:I think that maybe is because I go to London often or because I hate arsenal(INTER-arsenal 1-5 I was there!) or because of the name, of the colors, of the history. I don't know why I love SPURS

I am also a great INTER fan, I'm a season ticket holder.
I think that the Premier is better than Serie A, the mentality is different! Everyone plays for victory, in this moment you have great players(also in Italy but just in three clubs),the mass media are better(qui ci sono troppe polemiche come quelle che hanno seguito la partita Inter-Parma) and last but not least nobody buys the games! I hate also milan ac!

As far as I am aware Tottenham aren't very big in Italy, except for the Milan fan who owns the bar who remembers Greaves at Milan.

Hey mate, i,m in Italy at the moment and was interested in the address of that bar you mentioned in Milan..would like to check it out and maybe see the game tomorrow there...hope you get this in time..

Regrads

NY....Forza Tottenham & AC.

P.S.
I.ve got an Italian friend (massimo) here who was with me when we won the UEFA Cup at the lane in ,84, His local bar in Pero, on the way to the new fiera on linea uno (red line) has a spurs scarf in there, that i gave to the owner a while ago. keeping the vibe alive.

Hey sorry that might have sounded confusing, he is a Milan fan and remembers Greaves at Milan, but he lives near to me between Treviso and Venice (where his bar is). I can see how that wasn't clear before.

Hope you have a good time in Milan though. I am heading over there in a couple of weeks for the Inter v Juve game.

I'm a Spurs fan currently living in Vicenza. I can't say I have met another Spurs fan since being here, although one my coworkers is starting to convert.

HI! I have been a Tottenham fan since I was young, when my father bought me a Tottenham T-shirt...the yellow one with Holsten like sponsor!!! I watched many matches on TV (thanks to SKY) but now I can't because I have moved to Milan and I don't have SKY. Last year I saw the champion's league match, here in Milan, and few months ago I went to London and I visited "The White Hart Lane"....I really want to come back to London and watching a Tottenham match...LIVE!!! Maybe in the future I will ask you how to have tickets!!!

Hello Italia,

Any ideas for a nice place to watch the game in Rome on Saturday near the centre of the city?
