I may as well start this. I don't have a website, but I am proud to be a Spurs fan living in Italy.

As far as I am aware Tottenham aren't very big in Italy, except for the Milan fan who owns the bar who remembers Greaves at Milan.

I am trying to spread the word in North East Italy, but I am fairly sure the football this season will do the talking for me. I don't know of any other Tottenham supporters here (not saying there aren't any, I just don't know them) but if there are they should definately post here.

Coverage is pretty good of Tottenham games in Italy, as they have Sky Italia which has 11 dedicated 'Calcio' channels which cover every Serie A game, as well as about 6 Premiership games every weekend. The fact that Spurs played so much in Europe meant that a lot of their games were on Sunday last season which was a bit problematic as no bars showed the games (unless it was an ex-pat bar in Venice for example) as it always clashed with Serie A (games usually Sunday afternoon). Generally when they didn't play on Sunday they were one of the games that was shown.

That'll do for now, just to start it off.

Good man, let's hope that a few other Spurs in Italy pop out from under the woodwork off the back of this. Alternatively you may find that people look you up if they're out your way, your job is to check in regularly to make sure you keep the Italian connection fresh.

Will do. I've had quite a few interesting conversations about Spurs compared to Serie A sides recently and being out here I have taken in a lot of Serie A. But nothing quite compares to Spurs.

Sure if people want to ask questions about anything to do with Italy feel free.

Do you work near the Glass factory?

Do you know anyone called Elisa? What about Cristiana?

Are you on summer close down?

Glass is, are you jealous?

If I manage to get a trip to Glass, you going to buy me a beer?

Where is the glass factory. I'm gonna say no.

Yes and No

Are you on summer close down?
Unfortunately Prince is an American company so we are only closing one week for Ferrogosto.

Glass is, are you jealous?
Very, lucky bastards. I'm stuck in the office and it is always sunny outside.

If I manage to get a trip to Glass, you going to buy me a beer?
Definately will do.

Very glad we won today, a defeat may have made my life unbearable for about a week. I keep trying to fight the good fight and let them all know how great Tottenham are (they all pretty much only know Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and the Scum) and how Italian football just doesn't compare. Being the only English guy in an office full of Italians when they have won the World Cup and Milan have won the Champions league is not so easy. Lots of banter, mostly them saying Italian football is by far the best and me saying only because they own the referees.

Still I think they will have been impressed, it was vry comfortable and the Italian commentators were very positive (it was on National TV, unusual as most football is on Sky, but a pleasant surprise).

Oh and they described Dawson as a Gladiatorio after he threw himself in front of the shot and generally flung himself into every ariel challenge. Thought it was very appropriate and for Italians to say that about an English defender was good.

Keep spreading the word, brother - we've recently converted two people to the Spurs cause here in HK through our 7-a-side footie team, though the after-match drinks may have helped.

Yes mate. Sunderland game is definately on Sky Sports in Italy Saturday. I would guess it would be 50/50 as to whether they are showing the Derby game, but I wouldn't bet against it. You will just have to persuade the bar to put that game on.

No the coverage is great in Italy. The fact that they have 13 (i think it is now) Calcio channels means that as long as the game isn't sunday at 4, which it seemed to be far too often last season, it is likely to be on one of the channels.

Like I said it is most likely to be a case of persuading the bar owner to shows Spurs rather than Man U or Liverpool.

Sunderland game is the only game on at that time tho so it will definately be on.

Really, there aren't many Spurs fans here. There was some grafiti in Venice on the Arsenale Vaperetto stop, which had the name painted over and 'Yid Army' underneath it. Other than that I have seen little evidence of Spurs fans over here.

Having said that they are on TV a lot. The Torino friendly was on terestrial TV.

I'm a Spurs fan in Italy!

But yes it's not so common to meet Spurs fans out here simply because they are so crazy about Serie A. In many other countries English football is the most watched, i.e. Asian countries, but here it is clearly never going to happen. I have got some Italians following Tottenham, but they are not happy this season.
