I will be in a long-stay apartment at a place called InCity on Øvre Ole Bullsplass.

The apartments look reasonable on the website.

I still have to sign the contract but shouldn't be long now.

I will definitely be seeking you out for a tour of the drinking holes.

Depends on whether Canal+ decide to show it or not. If they do The Scotsman in the middle of the town centre (a very short walk from where you're staying I believe) will almost certainly show it.

I wish I was at home ...

I hate that they usually can't show 3pm kick-offs in England, I'm so used to being able to choose from three back home.

I am here (Bergen) and I will be there, I will be wearing a ridiculous Trilby hat and Spurs shirt. If you are there come and introduce yourself! I will purchase you a beer in exchange for info, I don't even know where the supermarket is!

Turns out the Scotsman showed the Fulham Birmingham game. :(

Ended up watching on SopCast in my hotel room.....

Oh well.

Off to hustle the locals at pool.

Any suggestions for things to do in Bergen for the "lone man"?

I need to to start interacting away from my laptop.

As I said five posts ago; Scotsman showed the game downstairs.

When there's more than one match on, they will show the most prioritised one downstairs, and another upstairs.

Mate only you Pat could go to a bar to watch the football of another team and not check to see if there were other screens about, you're just overloading on the tourist adrenaline trip.

I would say to normal people that maybe you'll calm down in a couple of weeks and be more settled, but somehow I feel that would be a lie, and a big one at that.

Shakus: I got wrecked on Saturday with the rest of them. It's a decent place, you'd love it. Nice scenery too.

I was a bit nobby about the pub, but i won't be making the mistake again. (Mainly cos the Liverpool match doesn't look like it will be on yet...).

Joleik: I like it. If the match is on on Saturday i will definitely by either "oppe" or "nede" at the Scotsman, it is only two mins stroll.

I even get free lunch at my work. It makes London look like a tight-arse town.

My evening hangout is now playing pool at the Dubliners and enjoying a decent (if overpriced) pint of Murphy's Red.

And every day has been sunny so far!!

What could go wrong?......

Funny you mention the weather. Bergen is infamous for its rain. My first stay in Bergen just happened to be two months just in the middle of Bergen setting its national record of consecutive days of raining :eek:mg: Rained every day for about 7000 days or something.
