He'd be understudy to Winks. A good buy, in my opinion.
The world has gone mad, 10 to 15 million is all we should pay.Grealish has got ability but he's done nothing yet, at 40m my reply wouldn't be very polite. At the right price just maybe he could develop into a decent player but he's a long way behind Winks. Likewise I'm not sure Onomah is going to make it, he's decent but is he much better than that?
Young exciting British talent? He's worth £40m and he'll prove it somewhere else if we don't get him.The world has gone mad, 10 to 15 million is all we should pay.
And unproven at premiership level, we can get much better value abroad.Young exciting British talent? He's worth £40m and he'll prove it somewhere else if we don't get him.

But they would be cheaper that's the point, lower risk for a bigger reward, we were able to buy Lucas Moura for 25 million. The overwhelming majority of best player purchases come from abroad. 40 million for someone who has had a pretty good season and isn't close to being good enough quality for the 1st team represents a huge risk.Who would also be unproven at premiership level. The Championship is a better quality league than many foreign top divisions. We are also at our limit on non-homegrown players.
If he is, then I agree but 40 million no. That would be the price I would expect to pay for someone like Martial. If he's good value then get him, can't be turning our noses up at these kind of deals.

Next year is the last year of his contract, United will look to sell him this summer. £40m to £50m max is a fair price, United get what they paid for him, plus a little profit. You may expect to get Martial for £40m, but you won't be getting Martial for £40m.

And I'd say Jan, Son and Eriksen for the cheap foreigner options that made it. It's worth it for the right money to look down the lower leagues but some of the prices quoted are ridiculous. That's why clubs look abroad a lot of the time.He was one of their few highlights when they were in the PL.
Better value abroad?? Just as much of a risk. Look at N'Jie, N'Koudou, Janssen as just three examples of cheaper foreigner options that flopped.
If they want Toby so bad, there is a very good chance that they will have to deal. They may look to sell him. They're not selling him to us for £40m.
