Tottenham's record against the 'Big Four' is appalling - what has gone wrong, and how can Mauricio Pochettino fix things?

Good and slightly humorous article this. Hits the nail on the head imo. Definite improvement against Arsenal and here's hoping for more of the same against City. Sometimes I think we have to accept that slightly negative football can be acceptable.

great article....can we chip in for some of those 'lace-less' boots for Younes?

pretty good article but disagree about the tactics against Arsenal. I think we are in agreement that Kaboul and Lloris saved us from a thrashing - the tactics though made us play worse than ever.

Certainly a good and amusing article.

The Arsenal game was a product of necessity at the time. Our players have a ways to go before they are fully on the same page as Poch and that's clear by some of our performances this season.

In that game we did what needed to be done and whether they had all the ball or not, I genuinely believe we'd have won the game if not for the hashed clearance.

At this stage it doesn't really matter how we win because unlike with AVB, it's clear that Poch knows how to get his team playing great football and that will come in time. For now let's just get results however we have to.

Good well balanced article. I have confidence in the team as a whole and so long as we don't make any major mistakes think that we can earn a result. Just need to have everyone on their "A" game for ninety minutes.

Its not the Spurs way but id like to see us park the bus away from home against the big boys and hit on the break (the chavs do this all the time, and jose is seen as a tactical god after)

It wasn't as bad as Liverpool, west brom, partisan and a few others. We actually scored and looked like we could have scored more. We were also playing a better side away from home, unlike Liverpool and west brom.

When a frenchman has to say
"We sometimes had the feeling that we gave up this season. We can't allow this kind of behaviour."
You know you've got problems

"But the irony is that in order to beat the big teams, Tottenham may just have to start thinking like a small one."
That is a cheap shot.
The top teams are happy to play defensively to get a point away to the other quality sides.
Except perhaps arsenal who are limited in how they can play - and suffer for it.

Read this yesterday. Liew is an amusing writer and I think he was positive in his criticism. An enjoyable read.

It just won't happen, our players are dumb as heck, doesn't matter what manager tries to tutor them - we'd need to get someone like Edward James Olmos or Michelle Pfeiffer in and hope for a miracle.

We didn't play that badly in my opinion. The ref had a shocker, Hart had a good game and we didn't take our chances. We could have and should have got at least a point.

Yep. I don't disagree. But the score's the thing (in terms of the article).

"Walker isn't the only culprit - he's been injured since March"

Is it wrong that this made me laugh out loud?
