Spurs Ladies are amateur. The other lot are semi-pro and pro.

So odd that most of the reports don't bother mentioning that. Pretty much everything I've seen has referred to the "close rivals" etc, completely missing the very different reality currently in ladies football.

Would love to see Spurs put plenty of time, money and effort into the ladies team. It must be relatively small amounts of cash and I see no downside. We have top class facilities and coaching staff and so I see no reason not to use all of this with the ladies team and try to compete with Chelsea, City, Arsenal etc

I follow the ladies team on twitter and they'd been on a great run so hopefully this will be a minor setback.

Was about to say the same thing. What the fuck was this thread, doesn't seem like it was taking their footballing efforts too seriously

Growing up my sister supported Man Utd because they had the "fittest players". My wife is a big Olly Murs fan mainly because she fancies him.

I know it's very 21st century to pretend that we don't judge the opposite sex on attractiveness but you can't repress years of evolution just because everyone is a pussy these days.

People in this thread were making judgements about people they have never met and were going of the only information they had available which was a picture so what do you expect?

Was a great night with some nice football being played by a dominant Spurs side. Highlight was driving up the high road afterwards with the boys hanging out the windows waving Spurs flags sounding the horn. Practice run for when we win the league at Hull

Anyone going to the ladies League Cup Final tomorrow at Stevenage? Think I'll take the boy and hopefully see Spurs win something this season!

I'm sure you are all gagging to know but I finally got to see Spurs lift a trophy this season as Spurs won on penalties after ET.

Very laid back atmosphere and entertaining game - lots of huff and puff with a few moments of skill as well. Would go again and my boy thought it was mega - I think because of the excitement of the shoot out.

Was thinking actually that when the new stadium opens, there normally needs to be a 'test event' with a reduced capacity before the full safety license is granted. It'd be amazing if they invited the Ladies team to play the first match there, get an absolutely huge crowd compared to what they're used to and maybe get a few more people going along to their games for the future.

Yesterday was a great game - we had a decent crowd too. Really proud of the girls, and even better they could now apply to play in WSL1 due to Notts County being wound down a couple of months ago. Not sure they're ready, but it would be good!

Pretty sure on-field performance is taken into account with that so couldn't see us getting it. I think the Arsenal game shows just how far from a WS1 side we are at the moment.

A decent benchmark for us might be Brighton who went up last season and are currently 6th out of 10 in WSL2. Mid-table would probably count as a good result for next year.
