Anyway, I was really pleased to hear about the programme and if you do want any of it written about in Expat lifestyle just let me know. I'd be more than happy to do an interview with one of the people in it (I know Tom Hayton very well and I think he's one of the guys you're covering). Should be good content for us and we can drive viewers to the show.
That's what I call service!! I hope it's a nice car?

Very good, G-dog.

But why lurking in here? Not a fan of the ITK? I'd have thought A&C's puntastic author/book thread would be right up your alley.

Ignore Geez. You should see what he was doing to these two 'ladies' back in the hotel that evening...

The story is actually from Calypso Cabaret club in Bangkok. The missus and I went for a weekend and took in a 'Ladyboy' show, which was hilarious. These very masculine chaps shaved and waxed and with boob jobs were put in poorly fitting costumes and sung and danced around the stage. It was dreadful and Mrs O and I were crying from laughter the whole time.

Anyway, at the end of the night these 'ladies' all lined up and you could shake their hands/kiss them on the cheek as you departed. There were also photo opps.

So I got Mrs O to take my pic with my arms around a pair of them - if you know Private Eye it's actually a deliberate spoof of the famous shot they use of former newspaper editor Andrew Neil and two ladies from a lap dance club.

After the image I patted them on the arse and walked away after saying "Cheers lads". :)

and then begged the local 'hairdresser' to employ them in exchange for a mention in KL's timeout....

Absolutely, fella. And hopefully we'll see more of us climb out of the woodwork after a successful forthcoming season.

I know we have a lot of EPL shown on telly here but did you hear that BFM are going to be doing a Radio Show every weekend evening broadcasting the footy as it happens, kind of like 5Live in the UK? I'm going to the launch this week and am -utterly shamelessly - going to try to wangle a guest invite on one of their shows. Keep a listen out - anything's gotta be better than Shebby Singh, right?

Bill_Oddie, are you still on the Malaysian Spurs Mailing List? The BFM guy has contacted us for an interview before the MU game. I was back in KL for the MU game too, and went to the Sid's pub at Bangsar South. There are another group meeting up at the Majeed (a Mamak place somewhere in Subang).

Hey mate. I expect so, but don't use that email addy anymore, so am not in the loop.

I'm actually doing punditry with BFM - the coverage is really good, actually. I was the one who got the Clive Allen interview sorted, although Ross, the presenter did it. H, the Producer is a ledge and definitely worth keeping in touch with him. Also, check out their FAcebook page. Oh, and keep an eye out for the podcasts on www.bfm.my. My appearance from Monday should be up soon.

Those probably mean it's unlikely I'll make too many meets but definitely keep letting me know (on here is cool) and I'll try to make one or two of the bigger ones. I think we might need some fans//vox pops for the show at some stage too, so will make sure H is in touch with you and the guys.

I will try to make a habit of getting on here more frequently (may be once a month instead of once every two years, haha).

The news on live game meet-up can also be found on The Stars, think there is a weekly EPL special, and the paper devotes a corner for various fan clubs to advertise their activity.

If you interested in rejoining the mailing list, just email me at [email protected].

I totally missed this response. Cheers for the "eye opening" synopsis mate. My other halfs family went to Thailand earlier in the year and took in one of these cabaret/ladyboy/sex type shows. Anyway halfway through the show, out popped a little lady with a bag of ping pong balls and started to pop, pop, pop. My other halfs Mum is a pretty straight laced lady who takes herself very seriously, and apperently, on the 4th pop, the ping pong ball flew straight onto her cheek. Judging by the what the father-in-law told me, it was a sight to behold, a scene straight from a little britain skit.

 Those clubs are cracking. Funniest nights ever. You've not seen Thailand until you've taken one of those in.

Malaysia in comparison is much calmer. There's still a few good nights here though, if you know where to look. :shifty:

For the coming Bolton game on 3 Oct, there will be a live-match gathering at the Sid's @ Bangsar South.

Anyone interested to come along, drop me an email and I will give the directions and who to look out for via email (I won't be there though as I am still away in Beijing).

Ah, thought you posted here to comment on the latest cracking show on BFM.

Can't do this weekend as have a Birthday Party for a mate, but keep posting here is a good idea.

And in the meantime, keep that dial tuned to 89.9/www.bfm.my
