Cheers for the offers guys.

The wedding ceremony is 7th and 8th in KL (I think the Renaissance Hotel and the KL Tower??) then 3 days in CLub Med in Chertang for some beach based fun and games. About 55 of us in total, 27 of my best mates from the UK all going.

I'm getting there sometime on the 5th I guess, and leaving on the 15th, so a couple of days either side to see some sites/sleep with some whores.

^^ i thought you said the club "just turned official"

thus "am not a member"....

....now i'm confused

Oh ok I understand the confusion:

Just turned official: Just officially recognised by THFC as the Official Malaysian Overseas Supporters Club

Founding members are registered and committee being finalised.

So, they are about to start collecting cash haha

In any case, you are welcome to come, and join activities and get to know the lads and lasses

Ray, the Renaissance Hotel is on the same road (near as dammit) as my office.

I couldn't look myself in the face if I didn't buy you a beer while you're that close. Plus the missus is away. I guess you'll be doing wedding-y stuff at night, but let me know if you're free for a bit.

Likewise, if the group want some good bars/clubs recommended.

And in your hotel room, if there's not a copy of Expatriate Lifestyle, I'll...I'll...I'll...be pretty ruddy annoyed.

MB: Yeah, lets meet for the 1st game of the season. Bring your buddies. Do you know Finnegans in Bukit Bintang? Or how about somewhere on Changkat Bukit Bintang? If you can get into the city, that is.

Once we've settled, we can let the 'official' dudes know about it, and if they can make it then all the better.

the group that form the Malaysia supporter team always meet at Orange in Hatamas for live game. If you check The Start on Friday, you will see the contact in the football pull-out page.

I have not attend any game yet, staying in Seremban, not KL. Will try to make few trips for the new season.

B_O, if I go for live game, I can give you a lift.

I'm on the piss on Tuesday the 7th in town, but might just be persuaded to have another one later in the week. How about Friday after work? 6pm at Finns?

now i feel left out...

How about the Friday beer, bud? If you have to be somewhere else, knock it on the head, come meet us, and blame it on the notorious traffic. Works every time.

PS: Great to see Malaysia Spurs is already clearly the number one thread in this forum.
A fine start for a new forum, bringing people together exactly as had been hoped. Though I should say that the reason you are far oustripping the HK Spurs on here is that we have a very effective website and forum already up and running. Sounds like you guys are gonna get it together and have Malaysia rocking to the sound of Spurs fans in full voice. Today Malaysia, tomorrow the world!

i guess i'll join up with you lot some other time, so ShadyRay better extend his stay!

Hi guys. Great to see so many Malaysian (both local and visiting) Spurs here.

For those who are interested, we have a mailing list as well. Details about live meet-ups and futsal are normally communicated through the mailing list. If any of you are interested to join the list, please write to me at [email protected].

Bill, I remember you and your excellent posts from the Malaysian Spurs messageboard, http://spurstalk.proboards40.com/index.cgi? Currently, the gang is having the live meet-up at Orange, Sri Hartamas. This is due to the owner of the Orange is a Spur! I am currently living in Beijing, but I am sure we can arrange to give you a lift. Just write to me in advance.

masterblaster80, I afraid you will be disappointed to find out that the Spurs lasses are either married or girlfriend to someone...well, we still advertise our activities on the Star, who knows?

Doesn't sound like you remember me at all.

Cheers for the link, bud. I lost it and couldn't find it.

Count me in for a viewing meet at Orange. Sunderland game is a dead cert. After that, the missus is back and with a baby I'm lucky if I can get away with watching on my own couch

Hopefully see you all soon - except Masterblaster, whose launch I hope goes well. Is a week night the week after (Wed 15th?) better?

Right guys, how about a little help for a fellow yid.

I need to get an idea of the cost of living. I don't have the luxury of credit/cashpoint cards to fall back on if I run out of money, so I need to make sure I have enough cash. But I'm also broke as a joke :-(

So can you give me an idea of how much it is for a meal in a restaurant, a basic hotel room, a beer etc. All in KL.

I just need to know how much I'm gonna need :-(
