The club's refusal to pay for one held up the development of a new stadium for many years. It's not going to happen for a very long time. The lead-in times for new tube developments are measured in decades.

Nah, that's just waiting for a train that you're talking about, mate.

How much would a new station have cost though? Honestly have no idea how hard it would it would be to ad another station, would have thought it would be virtually impossible.

If there's going to be a load of new ridiculously wealthy residents in the area like Nine Elms it's a piece of piss.

We won't be getting a new tube station but we will get a cross rail 2 station at northumbeland park.

Ain't Crossrail part of the tube network?
Crossrail is, or will be, partly owned/managed by Transport for London (formerly London Transport), but it isn't part of London Underground, just as DLR or London Overground are part of TfL, but not part of the Tube.

Wait, what tube station? There's no new tube station in the NDP.
I looked up the NDP on Wiki (yes, I know) today, and I don't think I even saw anything on the list of new buildings about WHL station getting a revamp, never mind a new Tube station in the neighbourhood.

Where would a new station go, though, and where would the line branch off? I suppose you could run a spur from Seven Sisters alongside the overground line, but that would be a huge investment.
