Anyone go to the Jazz-Bulls last night at the O2? It was a good game, albeit a pre-season game and pretty close (surprise surprise). It was basically like a Bulls home game by default because of Deng but I quite like the Jazz, especially Deron Williams. I think as they have a NFL game here, there should be an NBA game at some point in the season not just an exhibition. The arena wasn't full but if it was marketed and priced right, it should fill out.

Anyway, I wouldn't have made this thread but as I was just looking around the arena in the third Quarter, I saw a few familiar faces; Jermain Defoe and Les Ferdinand on court side behind the basket. JD was with someone who could have been Chimbomba, with a ridiculously inflated baseball cap and gangster pose.

I then saw, in the row in front of them Michael Dawson and The Hudd. I was then getting childishly excited as I was a few rows back but pissed that I couldn't get through to speak to them or that I had not brought my camera. (bit stalkerish). I then (this is getting stupid now) saw a guy next to Defoe who looked a lot like Corluka, I asked my brother if he thought it was him and he said tersely that he didn't know what he looked like.

The B list celebrity spotting then went sour a tad. Defoe came a bit closer to speak to a bloke who looked a lot like Darren Bent (complaining about not being in the England squad perhaps) and the betrayal of all betrayals- Defoe was talking to Sol Campbell at the end. I know they have the same agents but come on! And he was with a bird!

So yea, the ball game was fun apart from the fucking slow beer service- my brother missed a whole quarter on a beer run almost- but I was also ridiculously excited and surprised to see so many Yids. Wonder if any other SCers were there.

I wanted to go, but couldn't.

I miss playing ball though, but in my youth I did represent our country at the sport :)

Yea thought you did Shanks. It was good fun, but very expensive and it was through your favourite ticket seller!

Ha ha, yeah really gutted I missed out to be honest. I used to go to a lot of matches at Wembley Arena, but really haven't been to any recently.

My little boy loves basketball though, he seems to be very natural at it as well, the boy can shoot, he hardly misses!!! (although its only on a 6ft ring :)

Would love to have gone :-( If the Celtics had played I would've definitely been there.

You are correct.
Me and Bethnal Yid went.
Definitely saw JD and Jamie O'Hara (with WAG)
And yes...............Darren Bent with an odd looking entourage.
Also Joe Cole in the crowd, and David Haye.

They introduced some of the celebs on the big screen. Was hilarious

First JD (most people fairly impressed)
Then David Haye (again most impressed)
Then Jamie O'Hara and WAG (a few "who's that" with "is that Jamie Campbell")
