Is Levy a f*cking goldfish or something? Is life for him like that film Momento?! Does he wake up every transfer window with a cryptic puzzle tattooed on his body that he has to decipher before the window closes?! Will the suffering ever end. It does make me wonder sometimes...

I have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

I don't think Poch thinks we are ok for options. He would want a DM that was the whole point of bringing stambouli in, now that he has been sold he will surely want him replaced.

We've got good prospects in midfield coming through I think . We could do with maybe one experience player such as Cambiasso but imo it not a crucial area for us to improve on.

Defence last season was atrocious and we've addressed it , it was to me the first area of improvement. Second is/ was competition / rotation for Kane...imo midfield options are strong Mason Bentaleb Carroll Veljkovic Onomah Dembele Winks is enough .

We'll probably bring one more in, but it's not a priority for me. Backup for kane is as soon as ade goes.

Looks as though ade is gone and a lot of teams are interested in soldado.
To answer your question though i'm not sure. Ade is capable to be a fantastic player and bobby is more than capable enough to tow the line in europe. It would have to be down to poch and what he see's on the training ground although i'd be tempted of bringing in a wide forward who could also play up front just in case.
You do a good job of talking them up I'll give you that. It's so convincing that it looks like a mistake to sell them!

As you know Poch said he wanted signings in early, miss out on getting a striker again and I think he will be pissed off big time, is it worth the risk?

Yes, yes, very amusing. If you haven't seen the movie 'Momento' you probably wouldn't get it. I guess I was just expecting people to have seen it. Its quite a well known film really. Silly me etc... ;)

I definitely disagree about Dembele, I don't see any indication at all that Veljkovic will be a midfield option.

I'm not saying your opinion isn't valid but it's Poch's opinion that counts and I believe he definitely wants a DM in to replace Stambouli.

We have been linked with enough that you are probably right. I still think though that alli and bentaleb will be our first choice midfield by the end of the season.

Hey Mullers ....if it fits your agenda use it buddy!
To my mind you just seem to want to find any reason to have a go no matter what the club does.

Chadli could easily be our back up to Kane and let the youngsters puck up the wings. Chill... Poch and Levy got this

Surely a team like Liverpool are the ones playing a "dangerous game" in the transfer market after splurging money on players they don't need a year after doing exactly the same thing and still falling out of the top 4?

Spurs, quite honestly, are being smart and diligent about their approach thus far and the window isn't even shut yet.
I agree that Spurs have - SO FAR - been smart in their approach, however the next couple of weeks will see if they can complete their overall transfer policy successfully.
Now they are going to have to go after, in a determined manner, the more costly replacements...strikers. By their very nature they will be expensive.
This has to be done if the plan is to improve the team.

In an historical context - even a short-term one - the article is bollocks. Over the 14 years of ENIC's ownership, we have habitually hard-balled over transfer fees for outgoing players, with the frequent result that we get an improved receipt, but we get it in the last week of August.

This season, unusually, we have completed the majority of our sales in July. That gives us a month to round out the squad - without, one hopes, stifling the careers of our promising youth players - instead of the customary week.

So what's the problem? Compared to a typical summer, we're several weeks ahead of the usual schedule. And we have a much higher standard of youth player to fill any gaps that still exist on 1 Sept.

I've seen it. Still have no idea what levy has meant to have forgotten though.
Helps when you are ranting that you ensure you get your point across.

The problem is the coach came out in the press back in April and said that he wanted signings in early, when a coach has to come out in the press and deliver that kind of message to the board something is wrong.

The season starts next week, we sold Stambouli and it's increasingly looking like Dier will be a makeshift DM against United. We missed out on getting a striker in the last window, we have had plenty of time to identify a target and make a move, late moves mean no preseason with the manager.
Once again the same mistakes are being made.

Sven Bender has been linked with us he would improve us, Rio Mavuba who plays for Lille could do a job for us, he's 31, he would provide much needed experience for a couple of seasons.

We have signed 3 players, you know.

Alderwield looks like he's a first choice. Most on here seem to think Trippier will be as well, so what's your problem? That's 2 first teamers right there and there's still over a month to go.

Like @davidmatzdorf says, this window was all about getting rid of players the coach doesn't need. Considering how bad levy has been in this regard I thought you'd would be happy with that
