I'm actually most excited about Lucas getting a pre-season under his belt with us. He really can be that x-factor player if he combines his clear ability on the ball with an end product. We haven't really been given the chance to see it yet in an extended run

None of the World Cup players should go on the tour. They need the rest. Fuck the money over there, we need to think about the actual season. Any training or recovery work they need can take place at Hotspur Way.

They won't, they will get a few weeks off now so will miss the tour.

With the news that Alexis Sanchez had visa troubles trying to get to USA, what are the chances that Serge Aurier with his previous problems with the Police may have the same trouble?

I'm not excited, with no signings & no WC players until we're about to start the season it's almost pointless. Yes a few fringe or youth players get a chance to shine, but without at least Poch knowing what players he's getting in, if any, he really can't start shaping the team for next season.

The group of players have been together for so long though now I suspect they all know each others games. It’s the new signings that would need integrating.

Plus obviously I’m looking forward to all those who’ve said Aurier will be better after a Poch preseason be right....although I have my suspicions they aren’t.

There is less than 4 weeks to go until the season starts and as yet no one in the door new signings will have very little intergration time, but hopefully as the team is set up well they can hit the ground running.

Tbh the best part about pre season tours is seeing the fringe and kids. Be very interested to see Aurier Foyth winks Onomah Ccv if wanyama is back to himself. Moura and Lamela lots to be interested in.

Completely forgot about Nkoudou until I saw him in the training pictures and then there's still Llorente and Janssen too, not to mention Sissoko. All players that I actually thought we may have pushed on or at least looked like pushing on by now with the hope in reinvesting some of that money on better talent.

I'm sure we'll make some sort of statement, but I'm unsure if I was to get my wish of all those players being moved on with a couple of quality players coming in to compensate, seems like a lot to do. This isn't even with the thought that Dembele and Toby may very well be leaving also.

Have to say with all that being said and with our up to now lack of activity, I'm starting to think it would be quite surprising if we sold Sissoko...

Couldn't agree more. I think the preseason is absolutely crucial for Onomah and CCV. I would also like to see Kazaiah Sterling get a good look this summer on the US Tour. We have seen time and again that buying the likes of Soldado, N'Jie, Janssen, and Llorente has been futile as far as backup for Kane. I am not saying that Sterling is the answer, but the kid deserves nothing less than some chances to impress Poch during the preseason. Also interested to see what kind of improvements Aurier has made (has to have mastered the art of the throw in by now, right?)

I follow most Spurs players on Instagram and Serge was always posting videos of his off-season workouts which looked very intense. I'm looking forward to Onomah showing everyone that he can vie for the CM position in our team. Also, I'm interested to see how Luke Amos does this pre-season. He was on loan at Stevenage last season and the fans and coaching staff were glowing about his performances and attitude.

Good call on Amos, I hope he really gets some opportunities to shine in the preseason. I really think Foyth will surprise a lot of people this season, it seems like ever since we started talking about De Ligt coming in for Toby everyone forgot about him.
