Manchester United could be ready to let Gabriel Heinze move to Spurs, according to a source.

Tottenham have reportedly made an enquiry for the services of Manchester United's Argentinian left back.

A source close to the player claims Heinze would love to play for Spurs. He said: 'Gabriel is very excited by the idea of playing for Spurs and following in the footsteps of Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa.'

    Too good to be true
  2. Insomnia
What a load of old fanny
  3. spacelord
would be great if true...but from fansfc so says it all really...
  4. beuller
I would soil myself with excitement if this happened
  5. adoss
Excellent player, would be even better news, but don't think it will be happening TBH.
  6. Boony
Awsome but doubtful - the link is based purely on the fact he is argentinian
  7. montylynch
Plus the fact that he's a leftie !!
  8. TheChosenOne
Thought he was a has been ?

From what I've seen of him imo he isn't anywhere as good as the hype suggests. Alex Ferguson has been known to make a few mistakes in the transfer market and maybe this is one of them. Just because he's plays for Man Utd doesn't mean he's guaranteed to be excellent.

This would be fantastic but again I think its moe fantas-y. What has happened to Bridge? Why aren't we after him again? Lee is not the answer, Assou-Ekotto might be in the future but we need a solid LB now.

would we lose on YPL? Azza?
  12. roguepsi
Except he is very good and a first choice CB for Argentina.

In your opinion he is very good. I've seen him on the box a couple of times and like I said, he looked ok, pretty solid but that was about it.
Maybe he's better than LYP and Assou-Ekottu defensively but if I had a choice between him and Bale for example I'd take Bale no question

Mascherano and Tevez are also often first choice for Argentina. Would you like to sign either of them?

Has picked up a few injuries over the last 12 months, don't know how old he is but he is a quality LB who can also play CB.....also gives us additional cover so we wouldn't have to go out and buy a new CB. If we can get him we should, as long as Man U don't try to hold us to ransom......

    Is it April 1st already?

Very good left back. Hard, strong, quick and likes to go forward.
Although a bit too hard somtimes. Seems to go into challanges with his elbow high, and causes many bruises and cuts, I would guess.

I have always rated him as an left back, but never liked him because of his elbows and general behavior towards opposition on the field.

But think he would be a great buy, though!

Hope so, I'm prepared to give Assou-Ekotto the benefit of the doubt for another 12 months as he is only young....but Lee is turning in too many poor performances, soooo poor yesterday.

Jol must be losing patience with Lee and Murphy....time for them both to depart, perhaps West Ham want some more rubbish????

He hasn't been as good since his injuries and now finds himself 2nd choice - he may be pushing for a move and I think we should take the risk that he regains his form.
  19. gloryglory
Actually he's back in the first team at Man U, although slightly off the form that made him the Premiership's best left back last season. Unquestionably a top class player and we'd be mad not to get him if we could - but he'd never come to us.
