Never really seen him play but have somehow got myself really excited at the thoughts of us getting him. It was the same with Bale and he turned out alright

£35 million will probably get half of him. He'd be a great buy if we could get him, but most clubs want him.

If it is £35m then at least half of that will be add ons, and then it starts to look a lot more reasonable in that we only pay that figure if he makes it.
A £35m up front deal would be ludicrous.

Why is everyone going on like this a low bid? For an 17yr old who's never played a minute in the top tier, I think £35m is more than fair.

I guess we'll see how it pans out but I'd be very surprised in the current climate if we got him for that. What might look fair to us is small change to the financially doped clubs who would try their best to stop us from strengthening.

It would more than double the transfer record for a championship player, people are talking on here like its an insult

Someone else will pay it. If we don't we don't get him. If fact, it's likely others will pay more.

I watched the Fulham - Wolves match on sky Saturday evening.

First time I saw him, looks a prospect, scored the winner being in the right place at the right time.

Proper coaching and he could flourish.

And of course, the first thing the club thought of doing was to contact Matt Law.
To be fair, Matt Law is a good journo with some pretty extensive contacts. The telegraph are usually pretty conservative in their rumour mongering. We have been linked with Sessegnon extensively over a number of years, so I have no doubt we have put some sort of offer in.

To my mind, we have agreed to sell Rose to United (hence he is hardly playing - like Walker at the end of last Season). Sessegnon has been identified as the like for like replacement (Davies giving him time to mature). I would have thought £35m was about right (we will probably get £50m for Rose).

In terms of whether we could land him. If you assume he wants to stay in England for now and go to a "Big 6" club: United are buying Rose so they won't be in for him; Liverpool have unearthed Robertson in that position so won't be in for him; City/Chelsea could outgun us, but he would worry about getting first team chances and the plight of their other local talent. Arsenal just bought Koscelniak (sp?) and, well, they are Scum. I figure we must a pretty attractive proposition if we pay the right price?

Kolasinac - is that the one you're thinking of?
