I don't want another season of Europa League football. There, I've said it.

Neither do I Ray. But there's no escaping it.

Only way we don't get it realistically is to finish 7th, and hope one of Villa, Blackburn, Reading or Bradford win the FA Cup rather than Arsenal or Liverpool. But if we do that and Arsenal or Liverpool DO win the Cup, we get to enter the Europa in July.

All I can say is, I hope to fuck we dont qualify for that load of dog shite lousy comp. The more I think of it, the more I realise how shit it is and the more I hate it. CL reject scum dropping into it, and we have such a slim chance of winning it anyway, I think we should have a season out of Europe and focus on the league, I mean if CL is our ambition. I think I might be saying the same even if Europe still had its proper 2nd tier in the UEFA Cup.

We could always forfeit it. Seriously, I cant see what would stop that.

You should probably get really angry about it.

Wrong - the rules changed for this season. If the winners of the FA Cup are already qualified the place will now go to the next best placed League team/

Oh for effs sake, I did not realise this :( I hate the Europa league, I want Saturday football. Sunday football sucks ass.

PL team

lloris walker verts dier rose benaleb mason chadli Erickson townsend kane add dembele lamela yedlin fazio

EL team
vorm fredericks Fazio/kaboul vlad davies stambouli capoue carroll paulinho soldado ade??? or a kid up top seeing if a new kane comes through

two distinct sides with kids on bench for Europa league.

based on what we have at present. I would like to see this happen with a clear focus on Pl for those seen as key players. second string also plays league cup.

just a thought

Just play the youth team, aided by a few players who will be in need of match practice like Vorm, Yeidlin, Fredericks, Alli . Get them good experience against stronger opposition , we most likely go out at group stage and focus on the League and domestic cups. It doesn't have to be a big deal.

One advantage of the Europa League is that it gives any youth players on the cusp of the first team a platform to show that they're ready, it's one of the reasons Kane managed to get into the starting 11, and I hope the same will happen with Pritchard (or another) next season.

Problem is when you play a cl team on a Sunday that get a Tuesday / Wednesday game. That makes a massive difference imho.

And even if you leave your best team at home the coach is still away from the training pitch for 2 days and given the state of our defence we can ill afford that.

Plus I hate driving back to Devon late on a Sunday night!

No for me.

Why don't you move to Milton Keynes then?

I'd like to have a real push at finishing above Arsenal. Without CL attractions and whilst playing EL its very unlikely.

Its CL or nothing for me right now. I might change my mind after a season out mind you

Well when I remember getting well excited to qualify then losing to kaiserslauten in the qualifier, I would never have thought I'd resent being in it but sadly I do now..

If it was one season out with us guaranteed to finish in the top 4 then fair enough, but there's no guarantee. If we have a season out and finish 5th and then end up back in the Europa League again what will that achieve. While it's a pain in the arse to be in it at times, I vote being in Europe every season.

Do people not realise the Europa League is the best opportunity to give youth players a chance? Without EL the opportunities for players like Onomah and Winks seriously diminish.

Eriksen recently said playing in any European competition is important for players and for signing quality players and one of the reasons he joined us was because we participated in European games on a regular basis.

It may be great for us as supporters saying lets miss out for a year so we can concentrate on the league but I am not so sure the players think that way. It may well harm our transfer policy this summer if we do miss out.

I guess we need to manage the competition better.

Doesn't mean anything to us.

Place will go to the team in the PL (with out European football) with the best fair play rating.

Last time I looked Westham and Burnley were top.
