Just wanna say that Draxler is gonna be the nuts from what I have seen, and is unfortunately beyond our ambitions at this point, I suppose :( .

I like Lasogga, and really think he might be worth a punt.

Levy's already planning to get Draxler on a Bosman in a few years time :)

I've been trying to watch games from different leagues, and Djuricic (20, SC Heerenveen/Eredivisie, Serbian) has really caught my eye. He has a very modric-like look to him. According to transfermrkt, he is worth around 6-7m. Having Holtby now, I don't think we really need him, but he is very impressive for his age. He can play cm/cam/cf/wing.

Edit: There are some articles about Liverpool looking to bid 4m this window, but the bid has never come. At 4m, I think he would be a no-brainer.

Since CF is our real glaring need at the moment, thought I'd share a guy who I'm pretty high on. I'd imagine AVB is well-aware of him as well given that he plays in the Portuguese Liga.

1. Rodrigo Moreno - Benfica - Age: 21

Overview: Blessed with a fantastic first-touch, pace, deceiving strength, and a real cool finish, Moreno strikes me as a guy who as he continues to get bigger and stronger over the years could truly blossom into a World-Class striker. He's got that knack of being able to poach goals by getting himself into advantageous positions, but he's also capable of making space for himself and even playing teammates into goal-scoring opportunity. Moreno has a really good chance to become a top Spanish striker of the future (10 matches for the U21s with 12 goals). He's got 13 goals in 22 matches this season for Benfica, and has what looks to be a very bright future ahead of him.

It's a shame a certain CM was wasted at Liverpool recently, as he seemed back to form in his old side today.

Definitely not a shame. If he was playing and in form, they'd have been a different proposition.

Not sure where to put this, but I feel we are making a grave error in (appearing to be) missing out on working on Ligue 1 players. The Zaha price merely highlights the bargains that are available.

We've been linked with M'Vila, Sissoko, Belhanda and Aubameyang, anyone else in mind ?

Very impressed. Seems to have pace, technique and can pass and shoot. I know the Dutch league is weak but he looks a good talent for sure.

Same guy that was at Bolton?

If it is i'm not surprised. He showed some glimpses of pure quality in his short stint here.

My contribution for my favorite *realistic* January transfer target:

Wilfried Bony - 24 Years old - Vitesse (Eredivisie)

- Only 24, and similar to Aubameyang (Yes, I still love you, Aubame) he has really continued to improve over the past couple of years.

Strong (really fucking strong), good in the air, great positioning, strong on the ball and has a little creativity with putting himself into advantageous positions. 16 goals in 18 Eredivisie appearances for Vitesse this season.

Video Evidence that he will eat your soul while scoring a goal:

Rumored Fee: £9-10m.

Hamburg got him for 4.5m euros, but he was in the last year of his deal. His value on transfermarkt is already up to 7.5m.

They are different players, and I really like them both, but Kovacic is the "star" out of the two.

Badelj is the type of player who might not be fully appreciated by some people. Does a lot of things that might go unnoticed to the casual viewer. Similar to Modric in some regards. Very good in build-up play. Has a real calming class about him. I often use the word "elegant" to describe his play.

Kovacic has more things about him that make you take notice. Has the ability to take the ball and go on a slalom run. And he's still only 18-years-old, whereas Badelj is already 23. Can't wait to see how he develops.

Badelj had to go to HSV to prove he can do it in a better league, at a higher tempo. It didn't take him long at all to put that talk to rest, but there were doubters. Kovacic, on the other hand, will move to a big club with big expectations. It's just a matter of when.

Not Croatian I know but have you seen much of Pjanic ? I've watched him for Roma and failed to see what the fuss is about.

This sounds a great shout. Better than 1 in 2 ratio for a 21 year old striker. Would we have any chance?

From some things I have seen they have his buy-out clause at around €20 million.

So, it all depends if they want to go that high (which they probably would). €20 million = £16,792,600.

Not often enough to offer much more insight than others could, unfortunately. Obviously skillful, but haven't followed him to properly address his main attributes/weaknesses.
