Spurs set to win race for Michy Batshuayi

Most - if not all - of the media outlets are reporting that Chelsea have already signed this player......however, to continue.
It has also been noted, with concern, that Spurs' cant "afford" a player of this calibre; it might be worth reminding everyone that Spurs are in the Champions League next season and will need to IMPROVE their squad up to C.L. level. As well, (so-called,), top teams in the Premier League are doing the same.
Spurs worked bloody hard to get into the top three last season and I have a feeling that next season it will be a lot harder to repeat this. Sure, we can't compete in a price-war with the likes of Chelsea and Man-U. etc., every day but it looks as if this is the year Spurs will have to spend money to even stay where we were last season.
If players such as Batshuayi, are what we need, then seriously go after him with at least a bid

I presume Batshuayi can turn down personal terms until Marseille have to accept an offer from a club he wants to go to.

I guess knowing his club faces 21m fines if he doesn't leave on time gives him a bit of leverage Still not confident haha
