Sad to see Mane sign for the reds, I fear we lack a plan B. All the players we've expressed interest in do not add any dynamic to what we already have such as Michy, we are lacking that "tricky winger" speedster type of player.

That type of player that Poch doesn't like?
I agree that this is something that would enhance our team, and Englan's on their last few showings, as we tend to get stuck when teams park 8/9/10 men, and indeed have no Plan B, but we no longer play this way. We have a very narrow three behind a central striker. This kind of player wouldn't be on our manager's radar imho.

The fucking Daily Mail

The headline says

Tottenham Hotspur set to win race for Michy Batshuayi despite Crystal Palace having £31m bid accepted by Marseille

Then the story says...

while Juventus maintain interest but they, and Spurs, have yet to match Palace's offer, believing the player can be obtained for a better price...

Glad they cleared that up then

I have no idea what's going on. Seems like he's available for 30m and might rather join us than Palace but we haven't matched their offer. If this is true, why are we confident? Maybe we think Palace haven't got the money (Juventus surely do) or we have put in a bid. I'll be glad when the transfer window closes.

I presume Batshuayi can turn down personal terms until Marseille have to accept an offer from a club he wants to go to.

Working with a coach who knows him through FFF. Says there is no chance of player going to Palace or any other non CL team.

We had a speedster of a winger but he didn't fit in, and we sold him. Now he is in demand. His name is Townsend, and he cost us nothing.

The confusion over the story is because of what it hasn't said. It sounds as if Batshuayi is refusing to join Palace or another club that isn't in Europe, specifically the Champions League. The clubs can agree whatever the fuck they want, but if the player won't sign, they're wasting ink.

Its almost as if Levy waits to see if he can have the player at a cut price . The first one to blink if he is going to Chelski then Levy has blinked first!

I thought the same, but now he's apparently signing for Chelsea.

I was under the impression we are looking for a striker that will enable Kane to be rested from time to time, would act as a back up in case he gets injured and be on the bench if we are trailing and need to bring on a second striker. That, surely, is a much bigger priority than a speedster ( I thought we bought Njie for that and he has barely had time to prove himself.)
