It would be great to win a trophy full stop. It might take some more investment from Levy to strengthen the squad in Jan as there are a huge number of games between now and the end of May potentially. Harry is our only out and out forward, and with 24 Prem games and as many as 6 FA Cup games and 9? Europa matches , he needs help if we are to avoid a repeat of last season when we ran out of gas in the last month. We have genuine cover in most postitions but for the umpteenth season we are short up front.
Although Levy loves younger players with sell-on potential I can't help thinking Defoe would be a far more prolific back-up to Harry?

I don't like all this pressure and expectations.

I juz hope to see some rotation, for Europa league games, and also the team getting use to playing in Wembley.

Think the league should be no.1 now.

Winners need to get used to playing with pressure and expectations. No way around it or reason not to embrace it.

the Europa should be used to bring though young players, get as much game time for CCV, Harrison, Edwards, Winks, onohmah and KWP i am not saying we play the all or start more than a couple of them but they are our future we cant compete with the big clubs financially but we can be clever and build good foundations for next year. push for top 4 this year and use the cups to build a squad for the future.

From this point on we need to win less games in the EL to qualify for the CL than we would need to to finish fourth in the PL and qualify, so why would you field a weaker side in the EL?

Your theory on fielding a weaker side should really apply to the FA Cup, where no top PL side see as a real worth in todays game.

You can clearly see in the main box where the article cones from, which is an editorial everyone in here knows you do not read. Stop making yourself look foolish. No one is making you read anything you do not want to in SC.

In short change the freaking record, it's boring us.

When I read that we should field weakened teams in a EUROPEAN competition that some minnows are treating beyond seriously I think it's just plain disrespectful. Leicester, by fielding a weakened side basically gifted Porto qualification.
Also, why bother getting there (and after our embarrassing showing, it's more than we deserve TBH) if we are not prepared to go all out and win it?
Sevilla won, then won and qualified for CL, and have now advanced into the playoffs - it's called experience. Our staring XI are by no means experienced enough to treat it light-heartedly.
And as others have mentioned - winning it gets you CL - easier than through the Prem and you get a trophy to boost. How does one turn their back on that? Madness.

Winning the Europa League is going to be bloody hard, there is talk here as if it is easy - no game is too easy in the knock out stages. The PL should be priority but that doesn't mean we don't try to win the EL or field weakened teams.

We can do it! I know we can, it's just a matter of pure will. There is one thing any team – any.team. – can be the very best at, that's effort. There will always be somebody running faster, scoring more, playing sleeker. But EFFORT, we can be the best team when it comes to effort. Bring that mindset to EL, and we are looking at a rollercoaster that's only going upwards.
