"It is either an impediment to you or an opportunity," said Postecoglou of Kane's exit.

"Harry Kane was massive figure for this club for a long time and will continue to be whether he is in the building or not.

"We wanted to go out and give our supporters some hope and belief in the team. I thought they did that today."

Pep and Klopp in their first seasons didn't set the world on fire. Poch first season was nothing special. Ten Hag had a poor start last season working through formation and which players he needed.

I really think this season needs to be seen as a transition year. Ange needs to develop the players but also identify who is working in yhe system and replace. Give Ange time and the right players and the team will slowly become better and better.

This is all going to be about managing expectations, especially from the supporters. We've seen how Ange wants us to play in it's very rawest from now, and it's like a breath of fresh air. Brentford away isn't an easy gig but we came through it having dominated the game. Man Utd will be a big test, but we should take plenty of confidence from that start. If we falter we just have to keep the faith.

Exactly, I think they only got beaten twice at home last term.
