This should still be made permanent next year. Actually it's not a bad deal. We see if he checks out in the prem and our net spend doesn’t take a hit.

If we had paid £60m. Psg would have got 20%. £12m.
We pay betis £15m for the loan, then buy him next season for £45m. Psg get £9m.
Betis pocket the £3m.

Prices are guesses to give the gist.

Just been watching clips of him on YouTube. Two huge differences between him and Eriksen.... Lo Celso moves the ball away from opposition quicker and releases a lot quicker when on a dribble. This would make him ideal for winks and NDombele

Sometimes you can cut your nose to spite your face. PSG and Tottenham have done good business in the past.

Somehow even though we landed this player, the window feels a tad underwhelming.

Can’t put my finger on it, but it feels like it could have been a better window for us.

Here’s looking to the new season.

Think selling clubs will be adding % on to loan fees in future from now on. Tbf we’ve help get PSG out the shit with ffp on a couple of players. They’ll be more pissed with Betis.

I think he'll be a fantastic addition. He's good at receiving the ball under pressure, beating that and driving forward. He also has a great eye for a pass. He has the skillset to play at 8 or 10 and is tenacious in the tackle. He's got a super left foot and a cracking shot on him. His versatility is one of his greatest assets and I'm pretty sure we'll see him playing some varied roles for us. Our midfield looks absolutely awesome now and GLC can shift forward at any time so we can use those options. He was really the player I wanted most although it was very close with Ndombele. Dybala always looked difficult but I neve thought it would hinge on bloody image rights FFS!

I didn't watch as much La Liga last season thus the question. From your enthusiastic appraisal above he sounds like a good addition.
I look forward to watching him.

I've seen a reasonable amount of him from last year and pretty much every time he was the best player on the pitch. Didn't think he was great at PSG but they seemed to have him in a much deeper holding role which was a waste of his talents.

Player positioning is vital. I was a little worried where Dybala and Lo Celso were going to fit in.
Pochettino though would have sorted it I guess, my worry though was at whos expense, not a problem now. Lo Celso I hope is allowed to be very attacking. Lamela, Son, and Dele will now be under pressure to perform as we have some depth to the squad to allow for game fatigue.

A lot of people seemed to think he was a replacement for Eriksen but, as far as I know, his preferred position is in CM. He'd work well in our (dreaded) diamond formation next to Ndombele and in front of Winks IMO. He does though have the skill set to play at 10 if needed because he sees things quickly and can pick a pass in tight areas. That's my take although others may disagree.
