Okay, 2 things:
1) I have never even heard of this firm in the slightest. Largest? Errr, seems like a stretch.
2)
“We are proud to become the first European football club to be working with Fanatics. Our North American fan-base is hugely important to us and this relationship will give our fans in the region greater access to our product,” said Gary Jacobson, Brand Licensing Manager at Tottenham.
First? Errr, judging by their site, we are the seventh. Unless, of course, the Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle are no longer considered European football clubs...

Maybe it's the type of deal that we have signed with them that is the first of its kind.
As for point 1, and..... I'm sure there are plenty of large firms that you probably have never heard of.

For all of you Americans saying you haven't heard of Fanatics before (@yankspurs ; @moomin ; @MichaelPawson ), have you never been in a shopping mall?

There is/was one in every shopping mall I have ever been to in the US (Indianapolis, Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston (WV).

If football can continue to grow in America, adding Spurs merchandise to the store will certainly help our brand grow further and make it more accessible to your more "common" fans, not us degenerates online.

Spurs merchandise in an American store? Not sure it'd sell tho

Maybe we are planning to use Yedlin to help with this but I would like to think he'll get into the team based on talent...

Are you sure about that? I am in the States as well and never heard of them. When I checked out their website it appears they are an ecommerce company and do not have any store fronts.

I know for sure I did see some because I went into them to get gifts for people a few years ago.

It could be that some other company had a similar name like "Fan Attic" or something like that.

Yeah because Indiana is a real southern state

And I'd be willing to wager that a higher ratio of children are playing soccer in North Carolina and other southern states than many other states.

This sounds like another Real Madrid "special relationship" where it's not very special and not really a relationship.

Have we really got 14 million fans in the States? That's more than we've got in England!

Sounds like fanatics will be making stuff like hats, baseball caps, scarves, gloves etc and we will sell their stuff in our official store here while the market and push our merchandise in the U.S.
The U.S. Market is huge and really important to consolidate and maximise the revenue stream from there
