I don't necessarily think Berahino has a bad attitude. I just haven't seen enough from him to warrant the prices being bandied about. He looks a 10 million player and signing him for more would simply put undue pressure on him from the media and fans to succeed, which does affect players. "Berahino 20 million flop-hino".
On balance, I would probably take a punt on Austin. He's got less long time potential than Berahino but I think he'd have more impact on the backend of this season and would cost substantially less.
i like the fact that Austin works the keeper so much. Hits the target a lot. I think we need someone with a bit of Austin's football life experience. He knows what it takes to succeed. Go get him.
Stop worring about the money we will not go bankrupt!!
We need quality especially in forward positions and actually I would like more than one striker if possible as I think we should have three strikers to cover injuries, loss of form and for competition etc..
Poch doesn't want Austin, Levy offered to get him and he turned it down. I've said it before he isn't going to buy anyone unless they are a good fit for the team.If money is the issue, why not spend £7M on Charlie Austin and use him only when Kane needs a rest or, God forbid, is injured.
