Really not sure about this guy. Reportedly a troublemaker which we can surely do without.
At the moment perhaps he thinks of himself as a big fish, but in a smaller pond, would not have a that luxury here.
In the end it will be the managers call and how he sees him and his fit and contribution.
Still think he's overpriced,we do need backup but so risky......

He simply clearly wants a move away from WBA, we have had a few players in recent history want the same, Carrick, Berbarov, Keane, Modric and Bale all angled and kicked up a fuss for their moves but to be honest I wouldn't call any a trouble maker. A wankish perhaps maybe.

With the exception of keen, the rest have gone on to what is considered the elite of football clubs. By extension those players can't use the same tricks to go somewhere better, rather once they have served their purpose the clubs will dispose of them anyway.

For us, we would have a niggling worry that if he's done it once he'd do it again to leverage upwards and to a higher pay packet.

We're going to have that worry with anyone who is ambitious. If we're not competing or challenging for trophies all our top players will want to move on, and yes il include Kane in that at some point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not convinced by Berahino but if it's Poch's choice il trust him.

Here we go again, but I guess we must really want him. I actually think his time on the bench might have prepared him better for being with us. He will have to prove himself and fight for a place on our bench, and grab his chance to shine when it comes. He might have a better understanding of that now, and I hope we get him. He's definitely an upgrade on AT, and would provide decent cover/partnership for Kane.

I've always said he's got the ability to be a top player. He's young, quick (despite everything that's good about the current team we're not blessed with pace) and he's scored goals at the top level. There are clearly some negatives too, we don't need a young Adebayor so soon after getting rid of the old one.

we are in the title race ,but with only one real striker, this guy is a PROVEN premiership goalscorer and he really wants to join us. why arent we just doing this?

Not if we are to become one of the "elite of football clubs". It's still early for say that, but we certainly have a young squad that could be grow into one. Poch is a good reader of players, and if he wants Berahino, it means he sees something in the player that would help the team.

Tbh we don't need to take any risks buying anyone, all 3 of our strikers have scored and assisted in our last 3/4 games.
Last season without Eriksen's and Chadli's 11gls each we would of been mid table, but now Alli/Lamela/Dembele and even Son could all score 11 apiece or there abouts.
Fingers crossed if 2 of the 3 from last season equal their tally this season and the others keep going at the rate they have been then............. Coys

I would love it if each offer we made was £1m lower, just to represent his (SB's) dwindling value...

And see Peace's incremental rise in red faced ness :D

I think Pochettinho and the scouting really likes Berahino and see further improvements can be made to he's game.

I'd also like us to get him
