I wonder what these teams expect to pay in wages for an experienced premier league defender on a free transfer? 40 k doesn't seem to steep considering the TV revenue they get and the parachute payments they are gauranteed in the worst case scenario.

He would have had a whole season without playing though, who knows what kind of condition he's in. Maybe he wants £40k a week for 3-4 years?

He is a decent left back, but I certainly wouldn't pay him £40k a week.

He was a decent left back. Will end up in Russia, India, etc and take the pay check. Level of his play and attitude dropped off dramatically from the heights of his best seasons for Spurs.

It very simple and I'm afraid Tottenham should not play long pockets just make up the difference wise Assou-Ekotto good luck for the future...end of story.


Levy has to stop this shit players leaving on bad terms.
