Guys, I'm thinking off going to a few youth games this season, can I just rock up to the training ground and they'll let me in when a game is on??

Yes.Pretty much. You can only watch the under 21's and under 18's. I recommend being very respectful when visiting.
Start by going to the kiosk at the front gate and ask if you could watch and they will take you to the pitch if you explain you do not know your way around. No images can be taken, some areas such as if the under 16's are playing, maybe cornered off or signposted with no spectators.
I'm planning on going to the 5th September game VS Fulham u18's. That would be a good one to go to.

Yes just mention on the gate that your there to watch the u18's, sometimes worth knowing who they are playing they might ask you but usually don't - they won't let you watch the U16'S or take any photos

Ye definitely don't just drive straight in. It is quite self-explanatory and I saw a guy in front of me just say he's there to watch the football and they let him in, so I did the same and started driving then they stopped me as I hadn't been before and gave me the talk, the dos and don'ts. My fault really, but ye definitely stop by at the kiosk first.

That might be my first one too, also will try and do West Ham away as it's down the road, and even considering Arsenal as I come off the exit once a week anyway so I'll be in that area anyway. Looking forward to the u18s this year

I would be careful with Arsenal they don't let spectators in - unless you have a pass from the club

@charlieparrish From what I've been told it looks like he's signed a pre-contract with us, mate.
As I mentioned before, all players that we want to go pro on their birthday sign a pre-contract

However this pre-contract means nothing. Another club can still sign him, all it means is that we would potentially getting a higher compensation fee(which in reality will still be fuck all initially)

Until he turns 17 and signs the real thing, thats when people can rest easy knowing he is secured.

Thanks guys, will also try to make it to some u21 games, I know we've used Stevenage and Orient before so will just depend on where they play.

But would definitely like to also try see a few u18s games, haven't been down to Whitewebbs since I used to play there in the late 90s!

It is still a step in the right direciton. May indicate that he at least in the short term is showing willing to stay

Oduwa has impressed me a lot in these highlight videos- he seems to have that beautiful combination of strength and pace.

Maybe he could be this year's Mason, coming from nowhere (other than to those of us who follow this thread and the youth teams in general, obviously!) and getting a shot after impressing in pre-season friendlies.

I'm sure that if he impresses enough, he'll be given the chance. Whether that's with us or with a decent loan.
