Anyone know who the number 10 is (scorer of the pen)?

Nya Kirby very good player. True Spurs player, does things with a flourish. Love a ball roll and passing with the outside of his foot, got a lot of time for the stylish side

Glad to hear your opinion on Styliandes, I've liked him every time I've seen him from the first game out in that far east tournament. That game was against a South American team I think and was a real battle but our boys showed immense bottle and Stylianides was at the heart of the midfield showing tenacity but also composure. I've seen him a couple of times since and liked what I've seen. Nothing spectacular but teams need that sometimes.

I think you may be talking about our 1-0 loss to Estudiantes. Was a very difficult match, raining on a terrible pitch, we still managed to play better but couldn't finish. Then we got caught on the counter. Think there were arguably a few times their player could get sent off and we didn't back down. I've never not liked him but I've never understood what he does. He is clearly highly rated, and I watched him the other day and I just thought 'this boy really can play'

I think he is just the classic CM. Not an AM not a DM just a central midfielder doing a bit of everything. Doesn't spray passes or anything but links everything well, and he has very good feet. I'll have to watch him a bit more. He is clearly rated within the club.

Who knows? Much more difficult to embarrass defenders like he did yesterday in the PL. My personal opinion is that a loan is better for him. I've said before that he's really impressed me, I just think a loan would be better for his development.

By the sounds of it though he was tearing up Championship full backs in preseason. Why couldn't he have stayed to play EL football. I keep hearing N'jie being described as raw, which is like Oduwa so I don't get why he couldn't ahve been tried out as well. As others have said especially as we a re so short and N'jie will need time to settle.

If we were the team looking to find a way through, I would agree with you, but when Kane went off, we were on the back foot and we needed someone upfront that could challenge the defenders for the ball and keep hold of it when they got it, so I think we should have put Dembele up front, brought Oduwa (if he was on the bench) on on the left. It sounds like a strange option and not one I would want to use often, but in the circumstances we were in, we just needed to keep a hold of the ball in their half for a bit. Even without Oduwa on the bench, I think Chadli should have come off in the last 20, with Dembele going up top and Alli playing AM (or even CM in a 4-3-3).

Would have been a great option to come on near the end. He is strong, can hold up the ball, is quick and skillful. Like you say stick him on the wing and use him as an outlet. Draw some fouls maybe create a couple of chances. We wouldn't have anything to lose, the other options didn't work out

Winning stuff will mean other kids will want to join our youth policy. As we bump them up the age ranks regularly it is difficult for them to win the leagues or fa youth cups. These little tournaments will probably show them how good they csn be.

Happy.

It is actually a lot harder for us to fast track and bump our talented players up, than other clubs due to the amount with have. I think it's one reason we need to slim down our academy. It's harsh but players like McEvoy and Walkes who don't look like they will make it either need to get loaned our or released so we can fast track other players. We have started doing it to an extent as our u21s team was very young last year as we culled the older players but at lower age groups we struggle.

Liverpool had a younger team, as they could put their better u15s/16s into their u18s but we could never do that. The Liverpool manager said in that group they like to think they have 2 or 3 talented players, but in that squad that won the final we had 3/4 England players and 2 more that had been invited to camps and that doesn't include Griffiths and a couple of other like Hinds and Lock who caught the eye, but they can't play u18 football as that team is full of about 5 England players.

Great move for Oduwa, he was unlikely to get minutes here if he stayed. Lamela, Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend, Dembele, Pritchard, Carroll all need minutes and that's before N'Jie and anyone else.

I still don't know why he couldn't have gotten minutes before Xmas or the loan window closed, with Chadli the only real option on the left, as Pritchard is recovering and no striker.

Happy to hear Warburton supporting Oduwa though and encouraging his tricks

we will have 6 AM's - Chadli, Eriksen, Pritchard, N'Jie, Lamela and Townsend of whom 3 will play at a ttime in a 4231

However on Saturday N'Jie, Townsend and Pritchard were not on the bench through injury or whatever, so there was a gap for Oduwa which we could probably have done with - in the last 15 minutes or so the 4 striker/am's seemed to stop going forwards.

Going forwards it means typically 3 AM's playing in PL and 3 in EL - so there would be room for Oduwa on the bench and maybe more if he proved himself

Because instead of playing 6 matches in the Europa League, he could be playing loads more for Rangers.

But Pritchards been injured, N'jie wasn't signed still can't play, and Eriksen is playing no.10 if he goes to the left it is so Chadli can go uptop as we have no other strikers.

So I don't see why he couldn't have made subs bench until we made all our signings and Pritchard was fit especially as he was tearing up Championship defenders before sending him on loan

For me it's not so much about what position he can occupy as the skill set he has as opposed to others. He's direct, runs at defenders, has pace and a bit trickery. Something that until we bought N'Jie we didn't have (well, unless you include Townsend but Oduwa made better chances in 20 minutes yesterday than Townsend all last season) and N'Jie is raw and will also need time to settle and adapt to this league/country.
