No but then remember the u21s have games, don't they? So they will need to fill those teams with another 18. Don't get me wrong I would like to have got rid of quite a few too, but just passing on something that, as far as I can tell, was being discussed at the training ground, that is quite plausible and could explain something that seems so confusing? Again in this case I don't know if he was passing on what was known or what coaches(not sure how high up) and others thought

Could some not be sold after preseason still or released just to give them an extended chance while players are away. Or maybe the young players who then feature in preseason could advertise themselves better for loans.

Agree. Think it sets them up better for loans

Tottenham have offered contract to striker Wilfried Kanga. PSG youth graduate, 18, also wanted by Benfica, is free agent (France Football)

Tottenham Academy ‏@thfcacademy 31m
He'd go into the U21 squad as a winger/forward.

'He has yet to accept a professional contract from the Ligue 1 champions, and Spurs have offered the player the possibility to be in their first team squad immediately.'

Strange, PSG may not think he is good enough to offer s contract and go in their development but he's good enough for our first team. Massive difference of opinion between coaches, would he be better than Harrison?

First line mate: 'He is yet to accept a professional contract from the Ligue 1 champions', which I assume mean he's been offered one. Like Moussa Dembele, he may think (quite rightly IMO) that he's got no chance of getting anywhere at PSG.

Here's my post in the Kanga thread btw:

Just did a little bit of research:

He's a 1.85m RW

He played in 6 of PSG's 9 UEFA Youth League matches, starting 2 of them, and he was substituted into the game on 4 occasions. They made the final, but lost to Chelsea.

He didn't start in the QF, SF or Final, but was substituted into the game in all of these matches.

Importantly, he scored the crucial goal in the semi-final of the competition against Real Madrid, making it 2-1 to PSG, before a late goal made it 3-1.

Here is that goal:

You can tell almost nothing for that goal, apart from the fact that he looks quite big so possibly suited to English football.

As I'm writing this, I've just found out he's also known as 'Aka Kanga'. This article lists his supposed skills:

http://www.talentshunter.eu/aka-kanga/

Top Skills: Pace, Strength, Athleticism, Technique, Heading, Shooting, Finishing

Which is a bit broad so I have no idea how trustworthy it is. The same article also has two of his other goals:

One against Arsenal, which is promising (1st goal):

And the 4th goal in this game:

He better fucking sign now.

Edit:

Kanga is also apparently involved in the 3 PSG goals in this game, scoring one:

Contract runs out on 30 June, so a free agent then, unless he takes up PSG contract offer. Think this is the original source of the story
http://www.francefootball.fr/news/M...pites-du-psg-convoitees/655504?dlvrit=1931450

http://www.freetranslation.com/en/translation#!/505037985fe01ac20407b800/505037985fe01ac20407b7fb/http://www.francefootball.fr/news/Mercato-jonathan-ikone-wilfried-kanga-mamadou-doucoure-trois-pepites-du-psg-convoitees/655504?dlvrit=1931450 Translation which doesn't really help ! But the original French version is more clear in saying that 3 of the best from PSG's match v Chelsea are likely on the move, including Kanga linked to Spurs

Ivory Coast u20,

I assume he'd battle with Harrison (and maybe Sterling) in pre-season to see who looks the more immediately suited to Spurs first team duties.

Think he's more of a striker/WF and maybe is one of the reasons for Sonupe leaving

Kanga is the number 11 in the last 3 videos - against Atletico, I assume he won the free-kick (1st goal) or did well for it as a PSG fan says he was involved in all 3 goals- he then gets the assist for the 2nd, and scores the 3rd.

I really want to see him given a chance at spurs, but if that's not going to happen this could be a fantastic move for him. Can see someone of his skillset doing really well in seria a. Not a bad fee if true either.
i think the interest from napoli (if legitimate) shows that pritch has the ability to do a job for us. Eriksen needs a back-up or competition whatever especially after siggy was sold

I'd expect Pritchard to play in pre-season, and training begins in about another week (Friday 1 July), particularly with all the Spurs players away with England and Belgium at Euros, add in a 3 week break for them after the Euros and I doubt if we'll see much of them before the end of July - which is when we are in Australia playing 2 high profile freindlies with PL season starting about 2 weeks later.

So a match fit Pritchard could be a big upside for Spurs in the early season games whilst half the first team are still eased back after a truncated pre-season.

Oduwa should be in the preseason squad as he has been dropped from the flying eagles squad after poor showing in a tournament. TBF the whole team was shit tbh.

I think his contract ends 30th June and it sounds like he doesn't want to sign another with us.

yup heard the team lost something like 8-3 to Denmark in one of the games, so clearly a team problem than any one player

From Twitter:
Due to the results of the EU referendum, Premier League clubs will not be able to sign U18 players from other European countries.
