Stewart playing for the Mickeys now against Brondby on BT Sports 1. Came on as a first half sub.

CL qualifier or a freindly ?

Either way a first team debut for Liverpool isn't bad for a youth prospect released by Spurs

Still staggered that he was sold - and for so little. I'd guess that he's a £1m + player anyway who should be playing in the Championship and aiming to play in the PL.

So Rotherham's real problem is not the eell on clause but having short hands and deep pockets

I agree, and I said the same at the time. But, as I said then, I suppose it just comes down to not how he is regarded in himself, but also how he is rated in comparison to the other youth prospects - knowing the difficult job any of them will have breaking into the first team squad.

I always rated about him. But given the first team resources at first team level and then the likes of Bentaleb and Veljkovic around about him, it is understandable if the club decided he was least likely of them to break into the first team (by the way, I'm not comparing literal like-for-like positionally, just numbers filling out our midfield).

I suspect that the price of the sale was one of the perks for Swindon of being our biatch team. With the sell-on clause, if he goes for a decent price we may well get closer to a million - and so we should, I have always thought he would make, at the least, a top half of Championship player.

I agree about Rotherham...bless :)

Added insider goss: The club asked for it to be kept quiet as Draxler, Tevez and James Rodriguez were all our starting 11 but as the deals haven't been officially announced yet we didn't want any info leaking out.

LLM is suggesting that Pritchard is talking to another club after they received a £900k offer for him

hmm wouldn't surprise me at all if several trialiists were involved (and Musa Yahaya) but maybe the players you mention are a wind up !

That would be beyond disappointing, I have had supremely high hopes for him. But it's believable, haven't seen him at all in the first team training photos.

Do we have any idea as to who is in charge of u21's yet? Still Paul Brush?

No idea - but I understood that Freund was in charge of u21's with a split brief to work also with the first team (often that's seen as a way to help youngsters get into the first team) but with Freund in the US with the first team, it would need a couple of coaches to deal with any Spurs X1 and/or u21 matches when he's away. I'd also heard that Brush might be off......but no news on OS as usual !
