"We have only drawn one of our 12 home games in the CL (W7, D1, L4) "

I know that this is the best competition, but we've lost one third of our home CL games. One in three! I never realised that our home record was so bad. We had never lost a home game in Europe - ever - until 1985, and we'd won three trophies by that time.

No vertonghen, eriksen, Dembele, Alli.
Heart ripped out the side

Relieves the pressure I think as no one is gonna be shocked if loose so may work in our favour.

Hoping for a massive display from Dier, have a feeling he'll turn up

Barca are no longer the force they were a few years back and I believe with a little luck, plus a lot of hard work, we can win this

This has got to be one of those 532 scenarios that worked so well for us against Madrid and Liverpool last year. Catch the fuckers on the break- we can maintain the threat of this throughout the game by starting with one of Moura or Son and replacing one with other if needed later in the game. Lamela has to start- he seems to love these occasions against the big boys

These matches are all about enjoying the moment. That goes for players as well as fans. There is no point in fighting for a CL spot and viewing it as the holy grail if we're going to be sh*tscared when we come up against the best in Europe. That's the point isn't it?

We've generally played rather well when we have been considered the underdogs in the CL so I'm cautiously optimistic. A draw would be a fantastic result. It's a shame that we're out of form a and struggling with injuries. It would have been a joy seeing us at full force against Barcelona.

Too many injuries to key players, I reckon we'll get comfortably humped 4-0 to Barca. A draw would be a great result if we can somehow manage it but lets face it, we're down to the bare bones.

No Verts, Eriksen, Dele and Dembele against the world's best team who have a point to prove after their poor start domestically. That doesn't make good reading and would normally scare the shit out of me. That said, when we weren't even qualifying for the Europe League /UEFA Cup via league position route it shows just how far we have come, when we could only dream about fixtures like this in the Champions League /European Cup. My head says its gonna be embarrassing, my heart says we're going to give it one hell of a go and its gonna be classic that we will remember for the right reasons in years to come, it's no time for the faint hearted it's time for heroes to step up in Spurs shirts to make us proud. I will be at Wembley and it's nights like this that we have wanted for years, I'm beaming with pride, and all the anti Spurs brigade can go to hell in a handcart. COYS! Let's get out there and give it everything and that includes throwing the kitchen sink at them, no regrets and all that, Audere est Facere.

True but still too much for us I would expect even more so with lack of depth due to injuries it doesn't bode well.

Gonna get proper schooled tomorrow night, but I don't even care... It's my only chance to see one the finest players of the game in the flesh. Glory Glory night indeed!

Ben Davies plays at Wembley every other week though :geek:

This was the team that beat Real Madrid last season in a 3-5-1-1 formation. 4 of these guys won't be playing this time around though...

How about this - They have 80% of the possession, we harass them and chase them all around the pitch like a pack of hungry wolves, throwing our bodies in front of the 50 shots they have at us, we nick 3 goals with our only 3 counter attacks of the entire game, they score 2, Lloris /Gazzaniga pull off 10 World class saves, we're dead on our feet having given it everything, and the crowd act as the 12th man screaming for the lads to hold out against all the odds as they are battering on the door for an equaliser with relentless passing on the edge of our box, and in the 93rd minute Poch throws Sissoko on and he heads straight for the corner flag with the ball and he shields the ball for a whole two minutes as 4 Barca players surround him to hold out, the ref blows for full time, our players literally drop to the turf through sheer exhaustion with only Sissoko and our goalkeeper left standing as the crowd let out an enormous roar as Poch go's onto the pitch with a beaming smile to pick em up !!! Job's a good un..... I can dream can't I?

Serious question, I am staying in London for work this week so wanted to go to this game but couldn't get a ticket via official channels ( Lilywhite Member)

How easy would it be to get a ticket outside the stadium and what sort of price would you be likely to pay.

I have seen a few websites still selling tickets for approx £150 this morning, which is just too steep for me

If ever there was a time to be brave then this is it. If the players are scared of facing Messi & co then we’ve lost before the game has started. That goes the same for us who are in the stadium too. I hope it’s loud and we show them no respect.

It’s a shame players like Vertonghen and Dele aren’t playing because they optimise the “I don’t care who you are” spirit that we will need. Dele especially. I actually think he will be the biggest miss.
