Im going to go with what I said at the weekend...no negativity or complaining...lets see how we get on and keep the faith.

Hope it works again

Given Barca’s last 2 woeful performances we’ve many reasons to be optimistic. My only concerns are Davies, in piss poor form and the Wanyama, Winks combo given they’re both still extremely rusty and are up against Busquets, Rakitic and wonder boy Arthur.

If and only if we can contain their central midfield, our attacking players are just as scary as Barca’s, giving us a great opportunity to get a positive result if everyone gives 100% and cut of the stupid unforced errors. Given Dier’s not playing the unforced errors should dramatically reduce lol

Starting Trippier in this is like tempting fate. Im scared of a 5-0 shellacking. KWP is better equiped to handle this, IMO. Young and inexperienced, yes. But IMO, is a better defender and definitely quicker. Less of a likelihood of getting burned, IMO.
What with his experience against this type of opposition. He never starts a prem game, why would you think he should be ahead of Tripps for this?

??He’s gone with a flat back 4 with Trippier and Davies as our full backs.?
Completely the wrong move and we will pay for it, heavily.

Why do you think he should not be ahead of Tripps for this? KWP has started in the prem by the way and has played 90 mins in a high profile game and is better in a back four.

Because you also have to look at form and what have players done lately. Trippier has been in terrible form this season.

This team has a touch of the Ossie about it.

Ah, European nights ...

He's certainly picked a team around speed
Not really, a played Davies ahead of Rose. Davies is going to be slow staring an attack and his crosses 9 times out of 10 goes to the opposition

Well, if we’re going for a flat back 4 it suits Davies more than Rose and there was no way KWP would play against such opposition. I did think we would play 3 at the back with Trippier and Rose at wing backs. I guess he could still do that if we need a switch.

Let’s face it, against this opposition whatever team we put out especially given our injuries is quite likely to get overwhelmed. But who knows, we may be totally fired up and they could have an off night.

Personally that's as perfect a lineup as we can do right now. Back 4, Destroyer + Pivot in front of them, a skilfull, pacey pair of wingers/disruptors, Lamela the hook, and the tip of the spear in Kane.

I love it.
