The Winks of the the second half (or the second half of the second half at least) is the one we need going forward.
Starting to think that he needs the game to come at him quickly because he was nervy to start with yet much more aggressive when we were chasing and the intensity increased.

Can’t help feeling we’re a good 2 or 3 signings short of even getting back to the standard we were at last season. Not good.

He should have been sold though. Feel for him when he plays for us as he always works hard and gets so much shit

Works hard.

He does. I can give him credit for that. Working hard and passing the ball backwards.

Everything else he's toilet at. Everything.

Always very critical of dier but he did well when coming on tonight - was stable.

Not too bad considering who we had out. Can't say I'm disappointed much, biggest shame was the tone we'd set by Lloris gifting them a goal right at the start.

Can't really complain with the effort second half, maybe Barca dropped their focus a bit but across the pitch we did put our heart and soul into it and dragged ourselves back into it and gave ourselves a sniff.

At least two of the goals conceded though were really soft, and ultimately against a team like that you've got no hope if you shoot yourself in the foot at regular intervals.
It's a trend though - in big games we concede soft goals and they tend to be relatively early on too.

Lloris has always had a gaffe in him but in light of Gazzaniga's performances, can he legitimately complain if he finds himself on the bench against Cardiff?

It won't happen under Poch but I do question where Hugo's head's at

I'm not gonna knee jerk over Lloris but I do hope the club is looking more long term when it comes to the number 1 spot. We should have our eyes on the next Lloris.

It's not knee jerk, it's 2 years of glaring errors every few games.

Lloris alcohol levels must have affected his brain - hang on he must have started drinking ages ago!

Well, its been proven time and again that Kieran Trippier is a terrible RB in a back 4, which we played tonight against one of the best teams in the world. So that certainly does not help
He is to be fair and I have mentioned that in the past. It remains to be seen whether KWP could have handled it better tonight but I think it's real shame he isn't getting minutes.

I thought Winks was good, best he’s been since his injury. Even first half, considering how outnumbered he was in there, they were like a swarm of fucking bees around him.

That's fine, but why does Sissoko get all the crap? I asked my friend who was watching and he said that it was harsh to blame Sissoko, because it was Lloris who put him in trouble. Why isn't Lloris kicking it into the Barca half at the end of the game when Llorente is on the pitch?

I blame both. Sissoko shouldnt have been given the ball there.

But he should also be strong enough to hold up the ball. It was poor play from him.

Unfortunately he isn't very good

I don’t mind him but tonight Lucas and Son’s wastefulness in possession and lack of tracking back to cover the FBs helped contribute to a lot of our bad moments. It’s easy to blame the FBs, but they need some help.

Lloris has been my favourite keeper in the world for years, for a long time before we bought him, but I think he’s lost it

To be fair he was out for a long time. He just needs more game time.
True. I think just before his injury he started to go into his shell a little and his confidence went. Hopefully he can get that back again because he looked promising before that.

Messi was completely outstanding tonight. Masterclass. Doesn't help that we gifted them two goals aswell.

I believe we could have given this Barca side a really tough match if Eriksen, Alli, Dembele etc weren't injured.
