Beat chelsea 3 in a row 1st time since 1963. Was listening soccer radio and it was like the official chelsea channel moaning about VAR the whole time, nothing positive about Spurs or anything about how shit the ref was giving them everything,

Didn't play well going forward but the defence were very good. Don't care that we were unlucky. How many times have we lost to Chelscum over the years when we've been the better team?

We are in dire need of a new central midfielder though, especially with Dembele potentially going. We can't go through the rest of the season with a crocked Wanyama, Dier who's currently ill, plus Winks and Sissoko. Diamond system may work against teams like Everton, Cardiff but don't think it does against teams who have good plyers in central midfield.

On another note, we've beaten Chelsea 3 times in a row now. I don't think we've done this for at least 20 or 25 years.

legends? Don't think so.
I think the last time was 1963, they mentioned on the radio earlier today

Ok sitting at Leytonstone station on the way home from the game and looking back it seems to me we played it like a two leg European tie and was a pretty professional display. Chelsea are still a fair side but as the game went on they just relied more and more on Hazard but he was just running up blind alleys all night.

The more I look at it the more I think that's a marginal offside and we got very lucky

Im still undecided... the angle that was shown on the TV i felt his head was on par with the heel of the right back...

From the angle that Sarri had looked at Kane was offside...

It's very close either way. Benefit of the doubt should go with the attacker.

Don't see what the fuss is all about and they'd be saying exactly the same if roles were reversed.

back from the game and think I've aged 10 years. Second half reminded a little of the wolves game in that we were misplacing lots of passes in midfield.

Need to play better in the second leg

I for one am really proud of the way we dug in tonight and got a result even while not playing at our best. That’s definitely a game we would of lost a few years back.

How long will it be before football's lawmakers allow managers/coaches to challenge the decisions made by the on-field officials, like NFL coaches are allowed to do?

I can only really put that performance down to tiredness. It looked like we were down to 10 men for portions of the game as we were outnumbered all over the pitch. Big job on getting some energy back in the legs for Sunday.

We are beyond fucking desperate for a new central midfield player. Wish we had Dembele in there tonight.

Excellent effort and game intelligence to see out the clean sheet.

I’ve just seen Sky’s coverage of the Chelsea players putting pressure on the ref at half time. Hopefully, but I doubt it, Oliver puts it in his report and there’s repercussions.

Looked the same from where I was sat. Obviously if you’re watching it from the comfort of your lounge you’ve got the pleasure of replays but from where I was sat in the stadium Lamela was very harshly treated.
I think the problem was Lamella’s arm going across Hazard’s face, which resulted in the yellow card.

Why should the benefit of the doubt go to the striker? He was originally called offside so if there was any doubt the original decision should have stood. I think he was onside fwiw.

A lot on here would be saying the same if the roles were reversed too.

I haven"t seen it yet, but I hope it was offside. Its about time we got a call against that bunch of ****s. I'm still bitter about the penalty Floyd hasselbank won for kicking the ground.

Goes 1% towards righting the wrong of how many penalties we would have had at Wembley since we’ve been there then if VAR had been in place for all our games.
