i'll support him but i think fans have set the bar so low for him now that as long as he manages to stay upright and do the absolute basics then he's considered to have had a good game.
I'd agree with that.

But yesterday to be fair I don't think he did a whole lot wrong. He was also unlucky with that nice run from the left when he hit the post.

I'm sure Poch and the board felt with a bit of luck that they could bide their time getting the right man at the right price for the RB spot. If that means a few extra £££'s for other positions, why not?

Unfortunately it may not have worked out as planned but Dier can hold the fort for a couple of weeks, hopefully Wanyama isn't too far from fitness.
Dier at right back mean's no 3-4-2-1 formation, can't believe our formation will be dictated by losing a right back !!

Nice.

SlumDilla (Sports science?) and Shea (physiotherapist) are both big into Training and/or Recovery. Also Darrkespur some sort of scientist, though not forthcoming about his field.

Question: Are Sun Ancon Chi Machines used over there? I know they are a licensed medical device in Australia, just wondered what their reputation is like.

My interest is in the nutrition/ionisation/pH side mainly, nothing formal though.

I have seen them on sale & advertised on our equivalent of QVC, but I have never seen them used in practice anywhere

The evidence for their use in anything other than lymphoedema is limited as far as I'm aware, & even then the trials are small in numbers.

If we are talking about ankle sprains, the current vogue is hyperbaric oxygen therapy, however study numbers & participants have been pretty small & rely on starting treatment early (36hrs I think)
Obviously for 'Jo' public this is a ridiculous expense & doesn't make a lot of difference to return to play time, however for an elite athlete, the cost of them sitting on the sidelines for an extra 1-2wks considerably outweighs the cost of the treatment

Thank you very much for taking the time to post such an informative message in language I can understand!. Very much appreciated.

More than welcome buddy...

As I say, if anyone has questions surrounding players injuries or anything related to medicine in the sporting world, I'd try my best to answer any questions.

Would be willing to start a thread if people would be interested in that?

Okay, just caught up with the entirety of this thread having missed the game due to being on a stag do this weekend: issues/opinions/ratings/rantings... the lot! My overriding question - being more of a pressing issue than any of the various Trippier/Sissoko/KWP discussions - is as follows:

@gloriousbillynich - u ok hun?

Probably just needs to get laid. It releases the anger and stress. You get some love and your perspective changes. That happy place leads to enlightenment, like realizing we need to sign a RB.

I appreciate the mention @Lemon, I haven't been as vigilant on updating stuff but will make time to this season. I'm glad @jerseyspur is here! I made this thread a while back but I would absolutely appreciate any more insight or opinions that you might have. Always look forward to learn from other physios and sports science pros.

He did play well but was he playing well for a move away that's the thing.

He told you this himself?

Perhaps he sees that the two players ahead of him for that third AM spot (as Dele and Eriksen are a given) are both injured and out of our opener, so sees this as a chance to stamp down a claim ahead of the season's start and give Pochettino reason to trust him more this season?

I'm not a fan of his, I think he is inadequate ultimately both for our type of football and the levels we want to reach, but he's also better than he showed last season and capable of making a decent contribution in my opinion.

What's more is that he'll provide something we need desperately on the Wembley pitch and that's pace. Think it's quite funny that people are moaning about squad depth yet they're more than happy to see Sissoko out the door...I guess people will show their prejudice if they don't like a player no matter the circumstance.

Just seen the highlights. Kane is looking wonderfully sharp.
