The really noticeable thing last night was we passed quickly. Dembele has been taking 4 or 5 touches recently and slowing play down. Yesterday, it was one touch and pass. Made a big difference!

Who's at in work today smiling like a Chesire cat?

How absolutely fucking satisfying is it to be smug over Utd fans who were chucking it before the match, loving this :D
Don't get that satisfaction unfortunately as I work from home and my brother is a United fan, he never gloats so I refrain from gloating too. However one of my United supporting friends said "I bet you're annoyed you don't play like that every week" in the group chat. I had to respectfully point out that we've been playing like that in most of the big games and have actually been very good the last two months bar a couple of draws. I don't think he meant it in a patronising way but most United fans do seem to have this patronising mentality, so beating them like that was very satisfying.

One of my other United supporting pals said back in September "You can't be 5 points away from the title challenge at this stage" and "Poch is my pick to manage United next". I know most of them have grown up used to having success but the way that they expect to just take what they want and tell other fans how things are does grate a little. We've been better than them the last 2+ years and I still believe had we had a fitter squad to pick from we'd be sitting in second right now.

Fantastic performance from the boys, worked amazingly hard and gave them no space at all to play.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before but my MOTM was between Eriksen and Sanchez for me, Sanchez was an absolute beast yesterday and In difficult situations was cool and calm, great performance and what a good bit of business.

If it wasn't for Wembley Eriksen would have the fastest ever goal. Just a shame it takes longer to get to goal compared to WHL.

It was a great all round performance. I loved the energy and the way we fought for every ball. Special mention to Eriksen and Dembele who mastered it in midfield. Vertonghen just shaded MOTM for me. I think he's somewhat overlooked as one the best centre backs in football.

This was my first game watching live against Man Utd and what a memorable one it was. Unfortunately I was sat in front of one of the worst human beings I've ever been around in my life. He must have used the word **** about a hundred times. Constantly shouted for our players to 'break his fucking legs'. God if only you could transfer out some of the fans in the transfer window.

Are you a season ticket holder? And was he? If so report his seat.

That would mean he have beaten Ledley's record and we can't have that ;)

Some really posh Londoner in the line behind me buying lunch complaining about last night and how he went to Wembley and had to sit with the Spurs fans!

Didn’t like it when I asked what a die hard, dyed in the wool manucunian likehimself was doing sitting with the opposition fans

Re-watching the game and the amount of chances we had, not just chances but the amount of times we messed up a simple opportunity was astounding, the final balls and decision making were shocking, not an exaggeration to say that we could have had at least 5 if we picked a better pass.

Over the last fifty years I've seen United win a lot and I've seen them lose a few, I've seen them take a few tonkings and I've seen them raging at having lost a game, I've even seen them relegated but I can't remember ever seeing them look so utterly beaten in spirit, they looked totally dejected well before the end to the point where I felt ten minutes before the end if we'd offered them the two nil and call it a night they'd have taken it.

They went off shell-shocked.

I felt comfortable at 2-0. That just doesn’t happen watching Spurs but they were broken. How often do we get to enjoy a game and not just a result at the final whistle. And we enjoyed it from the very start too. Madness.

One of my favourite Spurs performances of the last few years, and we’ve had a few good ones in that time. The way we played with passion, purpose and aggression was wonderful to watch. As others have said the tempo with which we passed the ball, and how we quickly won it back when united had it was very pleasing. It’s so satisfying to tear into one of the top teams like this. We’ve got some big games coming up, I hope we can use this game as a base upon which to build a good run.

Still hyped after the game. It was such a dominant display against a team bang in form. They had a lot of attacking players on but after first 20mins we completely controlled the game and offered them barely anything.

The performance is making me feel like we can go further in CL (probably wrongly) but I definitely think if we take FA cup seriously and get a home draw in quarter final we have a huge chance of silverware. If at home I can only see City possibly beating us if we perform like that and thats only based on our performance against them away. Wembley might actually turn out to be a huge advantage in terms of us actually winning something this season.
