Mixed feelings, we played well but we still haven't had that breakthrough (not that I was expecting it).

Players were a lot livelier today, they seemed really on the ball, closing down players, putting pressure on them, much better passings.

On the flip side, defensive problems still there there was a glaring one I saw that didn't make it to FF (because nothing came of it). Some of the decision making was as bad as always and we lacked that clinicalness that you need to break into the top 4. I know we won 4-0 but we need to take 90% of the chances. Lennon needs to spend all week, every week learning how to cross with YP Lee. When Bale comes back we'll have at least one person who can cross.

Bent doesn't get enough credit, he took his chance very well and pulled off a sweet finish. Sadly he wasted his second chance, should have done a lot better.

I wouldn't be surprised if the big four turn into the big five in one season or two.

Haven't we been part of the big 5 for the last few season? Or do you mean right up there competing for the title?

LOL, I think you're looking for a different kind of breakthrough Camaj. Most of us are simply looking for improvement, you're looking to get in the top four.

And no we haven't been part of the big five. The Big Four doesn't simply describe the teams which finish in the top four, it describes an idea that any of them could finish in any of the top four positions. There's a gap between us and them, we're the fifth best team, that's all.

Another goal from a long ball by Robbo, that's 5 I make it this season. Keep kicking it long Robbo (though not all the time of course) is what I say, and have been defending the long ball tactics for a long while now :)

re Big 4, they are that not just because of league finishes, but trophy hauls, especially in recent time.

For example Everton didn't break into the big 4 by finishing top 4 a few years back - 5th place pool went and trumped that big time by winning the CL.

Similarly a top 4 finish 2 seasons ago wouldn't have done it for us - if it had been the springboard to winning trophies, then maybe.
