Unbelievable. Did you see his facial expression? Never want to see him play for “my club” again.
Its a pity your obvious prejudice prevented you seeing him run back to the dug out after cut was patched up in the treatment room, sitting beside Dele and cheering on the lads.

Rose looked in good spirits at the end there, all smiles with the team.

Won’t see him in a Spurs shirt again hey?

Lemons.
I thought Rose did some good work in that first half. Like the way he came running with the ball inside and left space on the flank for GKN. He also played some really good balls through trying to get behind the opposition. His dribbling ability could well be useful in midfield areas. Much better player than Sissoko.

As for the incident when he went off I couldn't see clearly but is looked like he had a cut or something. Heard rubbish on talkshite about him being subbed. Going off in a huff and being booed. Oh well at least they got going off the pitch right.

The game was always going to be about giving players some game time and helping the likes of Dembele and Dele get fully match fit. In many respects it worked ... boring yes but compared to England v Germany it was fabulous entertainment.

It’s a pity you’re sarcasm/satire detector is on the blink. I think most take AA batteries.

The Polish commentators went on and on about how Liverpool is hot shit, unstoppable blah, blah, and then after our group highlights they said: ...It was supposed to be the group of death...
My jaw hit the floor, I swear to God. We go through beateing Borussia twice, Real once and draw and our second string puts the Cypriots to bed, and NOTHING in terms of recognition...
Anyway, from all the teams we could get I think Juventus is the most beatable.

I know the opposition didn't offer much but it was good to see how Llorente and Son could work together up front especially at times when we need to rotate, If they are not injured by the time the game comes around I'd be tempted to play those two in a similar position for the AFC Wimbledon game given the fact that we have 3 games in one week, obviously keeping Kane on the bench in case it doesn't provide the breakthrough but their understanding and effectiveness last night gives me enough encouragement to think that Kane needn't have come off the bench for this one.

I thought he went to the changing room to have stitches put in the cut?
So did I, and it was the correct decision to substitute him at that point when he sustained the cut as there was simply no need to risk further injury. Putting on KWP in his place proved to be the right thing as we hardly looked to be in trouble after that.

So you think Juventus are more beatable than Basel, Sevilla, Shakhtar and Porto?

I had to read it three times and the only reason I concluded it was sarcasm was because you wrote it!

And you misspelled "your" ;).

So there.

Think back to our last encounter with Basel. Or any of the "weak" teams we played in Europe in the knockout stages. Easy picking right? Wrong. Out of the motivating teams, yes Juve is the easiest to beat. Have you seen them play in Europe at all? Very unconvicing.

It's brilliant that we can top a group with Real Madrid in it, go unbeaten, score plenty of goals against everyone we play, and end up with the more points than any other club in the entire competition, all without the benefit of a home ground, and we can still be so blasé about it.

That's progress I suppose.
It was like watching it on the telly. The only atmosphere was from the away fans. it was turgid in the stadium. I actually thought the football was good first half. second half we were awful. But at least I was there. And not sat in front of the telly... And don't even get me started on the train ride home. Shambolic at Wembley park.

Yeah, totally unconvincing on their way to the Champions League Final last season...

Juve have reached the CL final twice in the last two years, they're not as strong this season as they were last season but they are a team with huge experience, we'd do well to avoid them at this stage.

It's always the same with Liverpool though. They'll thrash a few teams and everyone will rave about how good their attack is then they'll continue to fuck up in games they shouldn't.
