After all the 'ribbing' my gooner cousin had been giving it after they beat us last time and our poor form the following weeks, he now appears to have gone missing????!!

I told him at the time "I'll wait", so glad I did!!

The pundits are queuing up and falling over themselves to say that Kane is the best centre forward in the world. No shit Sherlocks...

We are just so much better than Ars*nal! Second half Today showed that when we really stepped it up! We really should have won by 4 or 5 was so nervous at the end that all those missed chances would come and bite us. Dembele was man of match for me ran the midfield!

Its feels sooooo good when we are involved in the first game of the week and it results in a win for us. Puts the pressure on all the other teams around us.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "In the first half we missed three or four opportunities on the counter attack which is difficult to swallow, always the final ball. We contained them to very little.

"Once they scored you could see we were wobbling and they could have scored more but in the last 10 minutes we should have come back to 1-1.

"The first goal was key and we conceded it. Kane made the difference, that's what he's about. I have seen the replay, it is no foul, just good centre-forward play. We can only look at ourselves.

"It will be more difficult to finish in the top four but we have to fight for it. "
Cech was the difference. Were he not having the game of his life, we’d have been 3 or 4 goals out of sight... And deservedly so. They should be grateful it wasn’t a massacre.

Wenger has ruined it, he gave an honest interview for once. Sort of makes the win less fun now. Hes finally broken.

Seriously though, massive win, that was a very tough run of fixtures we just came through, to get 7 points from those 3 is a sign of how far we have come. Time to carry it on and keep pushing, try and get up with United next.

Cant wait for Juve, should be a great game.

People moaning about about missed chances lol
On another day Harry's volley and Trips volleys would go straight in the corner, they were lucky it was one nil.
We battered them, despite the score line.
We were another level to them in the second half.

I'm sure that with the first half being a measured one, that at half time Poch must have pointed to the sign... "To dare is to do". And we did!

Agree with this. Its good to see that Poch can make more defensive changes and try to see a game out (can't remember him have done this before) - but this was not that kind of game IMO. It worked well this time but Lacazzette could have destroyed our good performance at the end. If he had put on Moura (or another attacking player - dear i say sissoko) we could have countered and more importantly: they would have needed to show us more respect and not push all their players forward. Poch probably thought it was necessary nevertheless with more "fighting power" and therefore bringing on Wanyama. We were played deep at the end and it could have ended in disaster - but this time it didn't. Happy with the victory but if poch has a weakness that sure has to be he's in game management - or tactics in general? I love he's football philosophy (we don't bow down to anyone) but we do the same thing every game in terms of style of play. We do change formations though, and this is of course part of the tactical aspect as well, and i think Poch does better in this area. We set up to dominate in every game and as honorable this is it can be a little naive sometimes - the irony is that we did the opposite at the end in this match. Poch tried to make a tactical change (and not a very brave one) and sit back - that was wrong (IMO) in this match even though it worked out.
They would have piled players forward regardless of who we brought on, they had no choice. I get what you are saying but you have to consider that Lamela's introduction didn't really allow them to build from the back and find their patterns and we were still threatening them at this point anyway. So you could say that was an attacking change in itself. Would Moura have been sharp enough coming into a game with so much intensity and concentration considering he's not played much football at all. I think Poch called it right, and had we scored that second we wouldn't even be talking about Lacazette's miss as they'd be irrelevant.

Absolutely buzzing. Every player was superb, Kane and Dembele were immense.

Shout outs to all the fans at Wembley, you really pushed the team on. COYS!

That win was beautiful, too many Arsenal fans were getting gassed about Aubamayeng who was anonymous and Mkhitaryan who was shit after they put 5 past a dodgy Everton defence, they didn't get a sniff today and rightly so, wasn't worried because we've contained better forwards them them.

Just wished we stamped our superiority by scoring more of our chances, 3/4-0 would have been so sweet but nevermind.
