Hopefully whoevers left/right back will be playing that position. I dont want to see them with delusions of being in the traditional winger position.
If they control the midfield all well and good. PSG last night made pogba look silly, we should take some lessons from that going into this game.

Honestly thought we'd see Kane and/or Alli on the bench tonight, even if they weren't actually ready to play. Just for the psychological boost.

I get what you're saying because we were exposed there against Leicester but why on earth wouldn't you want our fullbacks to push on if we have 3 cbs. If we intend on playing a flat back 5 with fb's instructed to stay back then we'll have no width, none at all.

Quote from Simon Gleave of Gracenote :-"Spurs' chance of winning this season's Champions League is around 3%, up from around 2% before the group phase started."

Its official we're improving as a team.:D Imagine how much that'll jump with kane and alli back.

It'll be interesting to see how our personnel handle this formation. I fear we'll be drawing them on us a lot and I'm not sure if Aurier and Vertonghen are good enough wing backs at this level. It also seems like we'll try to spring attacks with long passes rather than use wing backs to cross from high upfield - since there isn't really a big presence in the box. And it seems a gutsy call to stick with 3 at the back and wingbacks, without Kane or Llorente, rather than reinforce midfield.

Hhhmmm
