I suppose it revolves around where the 'individual' wants us to finish. Personally I would like us to finish as high as possible. I am realistic enough to see that we will not win the league so I look at how we can finish 2nd, we need to stay one step ahead of City. Dropping 3 points on Saturday was a disappointment, we have bounced back. Taking into account our hectic schedule small mercy's are welcome.
I can only assume you don't know many Liverpool fans.
They, and the media, will be insufferable if Liverpool win the league.

Makes absolutely no odds to me if we get 2nd or 3rd....you don't get a trophy for either.

Imagine the lolz if they win the league and then Real Madrid sail in and nab Klopp.

Warnock is a sh*tstirrer

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...warnock-urges-premier-league-force-tottenham/

Neil Warnock has called on the Premier League to force Tottenham Hotspur to play their remaining matches of the season at Wembley, claiming the club's delayed stadium move could present an unfair advantage to Cardiff City's relegation rivals.

Cardiff have now been defeated by Spurs home and away and Warnock believes the league must now intervene to ensure no clubs get a chance this season to play Spurs while they are adjusting to their new surroundings.

Tottenham have confirmed their the Premier League game against Manchester United on January 13 will be played at Wembley, but the club is still hopeful of moving in to their new stadium within weeks despite months of setbacks.

Speaking after his side's 3-0 defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium, Warnock said the league should intervene over Spurs' "cock-ups" with the timing of the new stadium.

"The league should enforce they play at Wembley now for the rest of the season," he said. "I don't think there should be any chance of an advantage to any of our opponents. It's not our fault. We should have been playing at the new stadium ourselves. I think they (the league) should step in now. It should be until the end of the season now.... I think they should enforce it."
Ok, let's entertain his points.

First let's look at Cardiff's relegation rivals that we are yet to play at home.

Huddersfield - currently 8 points adrift and not looking like they'll make ground up.

Fulham - already played and beat

Southampton - already played and beat.

Burnley - already played and beat

Crystal Palace - think we play at Wembley?

Edit; Actually play them in March, so likely to be at NWHL, original opinion still applies.

Newcastle - we don't know if we play at NWHL or Wembley yet but if the stadium opens mid Feb then it'll be at Wembley.

Therefore we won't play ANY of their relegation rivals at the new stadium.

His comments just come across as bitter, snide and desperate. Just exactly like the person he is.

Fair points.

Warnock is a manager with a specific skill set. He gets his teams promoted by playing with passion, being organised and playing physically on the edge. He has been the same since his Notts County days. His style of play does not work in the modern EPL, but having said that he has managed teams with limited resources once promoted.

He would be my example for a manager who should be replaced once his team is promoted. He takes teams up. He can't keep them there or help them to kick on. Can't remember a club who has replaced a promoted manager but more should.

As to his comments about the ref. I learned from the greatest manager in the league's history that you argue about referees post game, so you get marginal decisions go your way in the next game or the next time the ref sees you again. Warnock is cut from the same cloth so he is looking for a decision in his team's next couple of league games which are against relegation rivals.

As to his comments about Wembley he doesn't expect the FA to force Spurs to play there all season, but again making comments that may serve as extra motivation when we play their relegation rivals. Again Fergie said something similar a couple of times down the years.

Agree with the analysis. A bit poor how bitter and personal the insults are on the thread. He’s passionate and is desparately trying to defend his team - nothing wrong with that.

I'm sure its been mentioned here, but what has Warnock got against our club?

First he comes out with the quotes that we're divers and now its we should be made to stay in Wembley all season?

Cant wait for that shit heap of a club to get relegated

Our RB position really needs upgrading. not impressed by Trippier s defending performance today
I don't like the way Trippier has a go at his fellow defenders (including Sanchez today) after an incident that's involved his own (Tripper's) mistake.

I see as an act of kindness we stopped playing at half time. If we had carried on at full steam heaven knows what the score would have been.

We stopped playing at Half TIme versus Wolves and got punished
We got away with stopped playing at Cardiff. If they had got 1 goal back we might have been under quite a bit of pressure

All the players seem to be sleep walking. I wonder if the fatigue and stress of so many games in so short period of time is catching up. We seem to have a lost a bit of buzz in our play

Juventus did with Deschamps. That was a wonderful example of organisation on a corporate level. Although I truley dislike the Old Lady.

What are you talking about?
The game was finished. We were completely in control. Its called in game management. You dont keep running around like idiots knackering yourselves out when youre 3.0 up at ht. And we were still creating chances. Agree 2nd half was a bit dull to watch but the game was finished. Cardiff were never gonna score 3 goals if we'd played all night.

there is a massive difference in being 1-0 up vs 3-0 up at half-time

As much as I'm looking forward to the new stadium, and as much as I hate Warnock and his brand of football, I do think he has a point about the stadium. It's not right or fair to switch half way through a season.

I don't. Why is it unfair?

Fantastic result last night the team didn't look sorry for themselves but Instead right from the start were positive and worked hard to put the previous result behind them which they did.
