Absolutely fucking mint.

I live in semirural Northeast Ohio - not exactly the outback, but not far off. I went into my local chemist a week or so ago and the pharmacist noticed my hat. "Is that Tottenham Hotspur?" It was a bit surprising, but there's a few people into footy round here. "Yeah, I'm from London." "You must be really disappointed with your season."
I would've beaten him unconscious with his own banjo.

Thank fuck none of us are smart.
Like I said the team have done well to have got to the stage where they still have a chance a slim one but a chance, and so a lot of credit has to go to all of them for the fighting spirit shown.

Or he had really high expectations of what we'd do.
3rd in the league, League cup QF, still in with a shout of qualifying in the CL, just won 7 on the bounce after battering Chelsea...should pay more attention shouldn't he.

By highlights don’t even show the Moura pen shout. Was it never a pen?
I think it was but of course I am biased.

I doubt if any ref would have given it.

Perhaps one of those useless buggers behind the goal line could have given it but I dont think they make any decisions.

Or he thought we could do better?

Devils advocate here, not dissing what we've done.

So if we beat Barca 1-0 and inter beat psv 2-0 we are out ?

Nope we just have to beat Barca, Inter can win 10-0 and we can win 1-0.

It comes down to h2h if level on points not GD and we have a better h2h record than Inter as we have the away goal in the tie (2-2)

Just a side note - and I wish I had a clip - but Alderweireld's reaction at the end of the match was great - just genuine thrill at getting the result we needed.

I know he'll be gone this summer - but its nice to see he cares.
Agreed, I’m still holding a torch that he stays

Not sure we have any other DM players that would have made that run the Sissoko made last night for the goal. It's the kind of run Walker would make occasionally. Dembele would have passed it off. Dier and Wanyama too.

Tbh I don't think Sissoko would have last year. He's really growing in confidence and getting braver in the final 3rd. Noticed he took a shot at one point last night too. I'm definitely liking where this is going....

I thought it was similar to Foyth on Hazard. There was contact but not enough for a penalty. It was neither a dive or a foul, just not enough contact for a penalty.

So if we beat Barca 1-0 and inter beat psv 2-0 we are out ?
No, we have to at least match what Inter do (in terms of win/lose draw) to go through. If Inter win we must win, if they draw a draw will do, if they lose we're through. Scoreline doesn't matter because we have the better head to head against Inter now.

Going to Barca and winning would be a massive boost to our confidence going forward.

So if we beat Barca 1-0 and inter beat psv 2-0 we are out ?
No. By match it means either win or draw. If Inter draw with PSV we only need to draw with Barca. If they beat PSV then we need to beat Barca. The score lines are now irrelevant as the first comparison criteria is head to head. We are ahead on this because, although the head to head score is 2-2, we have the away goal, therefore goal difference is rendered irrelevant.
We could squeek a 1-0 with Inter winning 10-0 and it will make zero difference. That clean sheet last night put our destiny in our own hands.

Those were the sort of runs he was making for France in Euro 2016. I think we're finally seeing the Sissoko we all hoped we were getting.

Patience is a virtue and all that...I am bery appy.

Just wondering. I couldn’t see because it was down the far end from me but could we have had a penalty in the first half on Lucas or was it nothing?

Had to watch the match delayed due to work but what a result. Poch, for all you moaning about our lineup, got it right. Eriksen, Son and Dier got some rest and we got the result we wanted. Bringing Son and Eriksen on fresh changed the game. Eriksen showed his intent right after coming on with the free kick that Vert had a chance on. Son immediately was running the channels and stretching their D.

For any of you who have not, read pages 13-25 for a pretty good laugh. Have some faith guys, a match is 90+ minutes and doesn't end part way through the 2nd half.
