It seems to me like a lot of the team don't trust Skipp. His requests for the ball have been ignored over and over.

Its clear as day that poch has put skipp in there as a workman. To work hard and close down spaces. If we were to take him off an put eriksen into cm we would be even more open.
Id bring toby on to organise and go with a back 3.

Well, we're in the lead. I don't think there have been any positives really apart from that. I think we look off it across the park, defensively shaky and switching off badly at times, and in possession we've done some really stupid things trying to force the play which have just fed their counter attack. The harsh officiating doesn't help, but we could and should be doing a lot more here rather than complaining about that.

To see out the result here I expect us to go up a gear or two second half and switch on a bit more. I think this has been very unconvincing. Eriksen (despite assist) and Son in particular should be the lynchpins setting an example.

They have been getting in way too many times down our right hand side luckily so far they haven't finished off anything

The story of that half is what a promising and talented group Puel looks to be putting together. Very impressed.

Working so missing the game and reading the thread for updates.

Half time summary:

Poor team and not a good squad to compete for the league.

Trippier, Llorente, Eriksen, Trippier again and Skipp are all useless.

The ref is a prick.

Skipp is nowhere near ready.

We should have bought Tielsman.

Sanchez!!!!!!!

Poch has got the team and tactics wrong.

The ref is shit.

We won’t make a sub until the 80th minute.

Trippier can’t defend. How has the ref given two mins injury time.

The pundits are biased.

Trippier's horrendous first half has him with our best passing accuracy at 94.1%, having had involvement in the goal we lead with, 1 shot that we got a corner from, 1 key pass, 3 accurate long passes and 1 accurate cross out of 3.

Absolutely shite.
Get over it.

I take it some people in this thread have dared criticize Trip?

Look for something else to focus on, it's not healthy...

Skipp has been ok but isnt offering much. We've been dreadful in the main and are outrageously lucky to be ahead. Oliver is being an absolute arsehole & seemingly cant wait to book our players

I think that's harsh. We are trying play one touch football in the final third, which is a joy for me to see rather than the laboured approach we seem to play way too often.

Our concentration levels at the back need to improve but overall I think we're just about doing OK. Llorente and Son need to offer more up top. Both have been guilty of failing to hold the ball or giving it away cheaply, but at least neither are hiding.

They committed no fouls that half, according to Oliver. Surely that is pretty unusual in 45min of football.

Do you think we’ve been the better team? They’ve had more clear cut chances than us.

I think if we were given fair treatment by the referee we should be 2-0 up (the peno), and a few of their chances would have not have happened because their over-physical approach (as a by-product of their desperation to counter attack) would mean play would've brought back for fouls on our players.

Why do Oliver give Son the advantage when beeing fouled but he cant get his balance and lose the ball. He do not give the free kick. Oliver is a joke.

I don’t see how people can say Skipp has done well or even ok.

He’s so far out of his depth. I get people are obsessed with academy kids making it on here but don’t try to ignore what your eyes tell you.

He’s scared to even attempt a longer than 5 yard pass. You can see that the unsuccessful passes he made forward in the first half knocked his confidence and now he’s playing within himself but he just isn’t ready. Nowhere near.

In addition, off the ball he offers nothing. He is getting played around far too easily.

All in all we are lucky to be ahead and if we don’t improve second half Leicester will get a draw at least.

Son has been frustrating, slipping all over the place and dwelling on the ball but he’s still by far our most dangerous player.

We can’t afford to carry Skipp for the second half . Like playing with ten men.

The kid needs a loan somewhere.

Skipp needs a role in the team. I refuse to believe that we are seeing his potential with what he can do but u have to say he has been very underwhelming. Almost like he is too scared to do anything, play a safe and hides.

Hopefully Oliver's HT/FT bet on Leicester is already lost and he won't be such a biased **** in the 2nd half.

We don't score too many goals at "home", just need to be careful when Vardy gets subbed.
