Watching the game in a pub full of Leicester fans, what a load of s*** they are coming out with.
But we are lucky to be ahead, another slow start to a game.
Hopefully we step it up in the second half again & score a couple more before they bring Steptoe on.

Club needs to take action. That’s twice in weeks a Spurs player has had his honesty wrongly tarnished by a shocking referee decision. Not enough that he makes the wrong decision but Oliver, like Pawson, is absolutely sure enough if himself that he shows a card for simulation.

Wrongly.

Fuck this

Dembele would have been perfect for a game like today

My concern with Tripps is teams now specifically target him as a clearly identified weak link - and also it’s not a bad run of form but his lack of athleticism that is being exploited compared to his positioning high up the pitch. So strange Poch hasn’t sorted this

The Dembele of old most certainly and Wanyama but sadly them players no longer exist

The ref Michael Oliver is having a shocker, meant to be the best in the league and one of the best in Europe... If that's the standard of refs in the game then football is in trouble.

Absolutely diabolical performance from the ref so far, doing his best to make it a 2 horse race for the title.

Skipp looks lost out there and we seem to be overrun in midfield. I'd give it 10 minutes and then bring Wanyama on.

Its clear as day that poch has put skipp in there as a workman. To work hard and close down spaces. If we were to take him off an put eriksen into cm we would be even more open.
Id bring toby on to organise and go with a back 3.
That’s all well and done if he actually made a tackle.. He’s totally ineffective

Dreadful performance so far.

Balance of midfield is all off, a lot is to do with Trippier basically giving up even bothering to defend forcing Sissoko to constantly have to cover his right back.
Skipp is invisible out there, he’s too young to be playing in games like this, meaning Winks is having to do it all on his own in centre mid.

Eriksen got better as half went on. Llorente doing his best but just not at a good enough level anymore.

Ref has been a joke.

Get over it.

I take it some people in this thread have dared criticize Trip?

Look for something else to focus on, it's not healthy...

They're facts about his 1st half performance, facts that maybe put some opinions into perspective a bit.

Barnes got away from him once, true, but additionally the right hand side of the pitch is not solely Trippier's responsibility to defend.

People can hammer Skipp for being too safe thus far and not having a great impact, but he's largely stuck to his task playing an unfamiliar role as a side midfielder in a diamond (which is what we're playing, he's not playing central midfield with Winks as a pair). It's the other flank where we have been getting exposed with Sissoko/Trippier having bad moments of switching off.

Do you think Tielemans would have been happy to join Spurs to primarily be on the bench and start three or four league games a season?
No point talking sense. These guys are too busy slagging off current Spurs players to pay any attention to the reality of prospective players

Both deluded if you think he couldn’t have done a job and wouldn’t start more than 4 or 5 league games.

I don’t see how people can say Skipp has done well or even ok.

He’s so far out of his depth. I get people are obsessed with academy kids making it on here but don’t try to ignore what your eyes tell you.

He’s scared to even attempt a longer than 5 yard pass. You can see that the unsuccessful passes he made forward in the first half knocked his confidence and now he’s playing within himself but he just isn’t ready. Nowhere near.

In addition, off the ball he offers nothing. He is getting played around far too easily.

All in all we are lucky to be ahead and if we don’t improve second half Leicester will get a draw at least.

Son has been frustrating, slipping all over the place and dwelling on the ball but he’s still by far our most dangerous player.

We can’t afford to carry Skipp for the second half . Like playing with ten men.

The kid needs a loan somewhere.

Told you.
Skipp taking the heat off Winks
very effectively here.
