In fairness the Trippier isn't good enough bandwagon only set off once he'd gained popularity in the masses through his England performances. Some spurs fans decided to give him unnecessary flack because they don't like it when one of our players is liked by the masses.

Trippier has always been a poor defender

He did ok last season but was still found out

His World Cup performances were purely attacking based in a WB role generally against teams England were on the front foot against or great set pieces

Fans have been negative about him because he has been defensively shocking this season, is being targeted tactically and it is not a bad run of form but he is not athletic enough to cover his right side - no one is disputing his quality in attacking positions

He was signed as a solid, cheap back up to Walker and is now playing far too much first team football vs his quality - simple as that. No vendettas
