Carragher and Gary Neville going at it on Sky Sports, very good stuff. Funny thing is they're arguing but they're both sort of right.

The difference between Walker and Trippier tonight. Just wow.
Don't get me wrong, Walker is the better player, but he made a few mistakes today as well. People would be saying all kinds of negative things about him tonight if we were on opposite sides.

I swear I watched a different game from most people. That was easily our best performance against City of the last two years, and I'm including the 2-2 draw at the Etihad in that.

Yes, they were far from their own best and made a lot of mistakes, but they were still shitting their pants until the last minute and I really think we deserved at least a point from the game. Unfortunately our final ball when in the attacking third wasn't good enough and sadly, Lamela who has been arguably our best attacking player this season missed an absolute sitter. If he buries that then instead of the talk about being "beaten by a better team" and "Poch taken us as far as he can" becomes "we put out a statement" and "went toe to toe with the best team in PL history with several players missing" etc. I've heard that Kane may have been onside as well...

Last season I was frustrated as they played us off the park in both games which looked like men against boys. Tonight I'm disappointed but nowhere near as angry, yes they are better than us but if we play like this every week we'll have a good season.

I agree but whereas City can and have dropped points they play the majority of their opponents off the park. This season we’ve lost our dominance in midfield, leaking goals for fun and created/taken nowhere near as many chances as we did last season. I know we’ve had injuries but morale looks shot, unforced errors are at an all time high and tactics have been bizarre at the best of times.

I agree that the result are better than a lot of the performances but we have had our best start to the league for donkeys years

Carragher and Neville are so funny

The pitch of their voices are getting higher and higher as they get angrier and angrier - stereotypical haha

Walker is far from perfect, but they are leagues apart. Literally.

Yeah I agree 100% with that. I was born in 1973 so the 90's seem like yesterday to me. We've come from having one of the worst training facilities in the UK to having one of the best in the World now. Our stadium, which I loved, was literally falling apart around us. We now are going to have one of the Stadiums on the planet. The future is very bright, you just have too see the progress we have made to the whole infrastructure of the Football, it has been a major achievement and I for one am proud of how far we have come. ☺

Exactly

This is Kane now, mate.

Everyone's in denial.

Not believing their 'lying eyes'.

It's tough to accept, but we must; and plan to bring in real competition for him next season.
But I just can't accept that our beloved Kane has become a slightly less shit Soldado ffs

I hope we deliver the same energy and desire in other games, as well as a gameplan as clear as tonight. We didn't quite have the end part sorted, but the clear identity was there.

We win most games playing like that.

And he is 100% right. You can’t spend money that’s not there

The thing is how can it not be there? We are being told that transfer fund is ring fenced and is totally separate from the stadium budget - or are we also fed lies. I can only go on the basis of what we are told.
