What was the attendance ? Can someone tell me why the biggest game of the weekend had less that an nfl game in England ? Curious to know , are we losing love for our national game
I think it was a Monday night game; people didn't have confidence that we'd put up much against City; growing frustration with the stadium situation and the way information has been handled.

Poch just needs to let Kane have a few weeks, look at how Sarri is handling Hazard since the WC and look at what he is getting repaid with

But the other Harry, this kid is going to be a star. I thought he looked the best player on the pitch last 20, oozes class. He needs to have this team built around him in the future

Just watched it as live, and have to say it was better than i expected.

Sure they had a lot of chances, but we never gave up and grew into it, there were pluses; another excellent Winks cameo and Sissoko being good (and not just good for Sissoko)

With a better pitch (i am not blaming Kane for his heavy touch or Lamela for the miss) we could've got something.

As for Trippier though...
Poch's changes were bold but Alli looked particularly slow and leaden footed.

Aurier should have started...either today or midweek. Poch can fuck off with his "rotation" bullshit given trippier has been rubbish all season and has started every match. KWP has been fit all season and I don't think he's started once. Given that Tripps played the past 2 matches, both this week, I can't see why he started. He ended up costing us the match. Just poor from poch imo. It was so obvious.

Spurs fans... fuck me. This City side have made us look absolutely second rate multiple times in the last few years. When we were at our top.

We had them on the ropes second half and if Lamela’s goal goes in we are favourites to win. That hasn’t been remotely the case for two years.

Good Christy almighty. Some of you wouldn’t know a good gusty fight if it came and thumped you in the face. Bunch of fucking whiny tossers some of you. Embarrassing.

I agree about Winks. The sad thing is the negative attitude of some Spurs fans. I don't know if it's a middle-aged thing with some of them, but the guy next to me couldn't bring himself to give any compliment to Sissoko and felt that Winks was an ineffective player. The last comment was before the guy had even come on the pitch.

Poch was protecting players coming back from injury as they'd have had to play on that pitch.

KWP or aurier could have easily started midweek and then I wouldn't mind as much, because at least poch would be sticking to his "rotation policy". But the fact that we have 3 fit RBs (aurier has been fit since before the international matches given he started for the ivory coast), and only one has been playing despite being shithouse every time is just complete rubbish.

A lot to like about tonight. Sissoko continuing his commanding form. Winks was dynamic and forward thinking when he came on. Dele showed a glimpse of what class he brings by putting the equaliser on a plate.

And just the small things like how Davies after being so outclasssed and outgunned by City’s glittering wide men, was still going until the end and making them worry and pushing forward.

Thought that tonight was a bit of a harsh result to be honest and that we would have been good value for a draw, especially after our 2nd half performance.

Trippier is also a shit footballer.

One of the more knee jerk, over the top statements i've seen on this forum, and that is saying something.

He was poor tonight, and hasn't been great this season. Criticising him is fair. But saying that he is a shit footballer is just stupid.

I thought we played well, yes city are going to carve you open at times and keep the ball for long periods, but they didn't destroy us we could have easily been 2 or 3 up at half time had Sissoko and Trippier played a better pass or Kane's effort dips sooner. The 2nd half was even and the last 10 minutes I thought they were hanging on. Winks was brilliant

Sky's coverage is getting worse - I counted 6 occasions when they popped up a replay of action and discussed it
as play moved up the other end. They've been doing this for ages

Martin Tyler is 'King of the cliches' and needs putting out to grass. I said at the start of the game he was ranting
about Spurs for almost four minutes.

And ex-players of 'in action' teams should never be in the commentary box. In the studio yeah no probs but the likes of Alan Smith on Arsenal games and in tonight's case Andy Hinchcliffe are not conducive to good listening - they ooze bias and have an axe to grind.

Swansea won a league cup with Davies.

I get your point - they're decent but a fall back on what we had two years ago.

That said Walker (50m) and Mendy (50m) were as bad as our two who cost a combined 10m.
Leicster won a league with Wes Morgan and Danny Simpson also. It’s all about game management , focus if we had a 38 game season we’d possibly win the league

I usually like the NBC trio or Arlo, Dixon and Le Saux. But all 3 of them were gushing over City, if I'd just listened I would have thought City were unlucky to have only won by 1 goal

Easy to forget that. But Mahrez, Vardy, Schmeichel and Kante definitely helped them. We still messed that season up so badly :banghead:

But the problem is this: I think Poch will be off in the summer. Real didn't appoint Conte and are going to go for an interim manager. Poch will keep to his word and see us into the new stadium, but then that will be it. It is heartbreaking to even think that and I sincerely hope this doesn't happen. Poch has been the best Spurs manager in my lifetime, bar none and I include Burkinshaw and Venables when I write that. I am clutching on to what Ardiles has been saying. Levy is going to have to pull a few rabbits out of the hat, but I don't see him doing it.

What did you make of Gary Neville's post-match comments about Poch leaving?
