Yes, granted, Sissoko played well. But I think that has much to do with our limited expectations of him. If he plays a game without tripping up over his own feet, and perhaps controls a ball or two, we consider that to be a momentous success for him. In otherwords our expectatation of him are low.
You are so fucked up and blinded of your a seemingly hatred Sissoko that you post this crap. Not the most talented footballer granted, but his performance in this match like against West Ham, was very acceptable by any standard.

Don't expect big money transfers at Spurs, recent comments from Daniel

Levy said: “We have a duty to manage the club appropriately. Some of the activity that is going on at the moment is just impossible for it to be sustainable. Somebody spending £200m more than they’re earning, eventually it catches up with you. And you can’t keep doing it.”

We do need someone in place of Trippier he was poor against Man City last season and again last night , he is too slow, he may be able to send in decent crosses but his first job is defending which he is poor at.

The realist (Neville) versus the dreamer (Carragher). We've had many debates similar to this over the years. I agree with Carragher to an extent because we all want to challenge for titles and we have to spend to do that. I also agree with Neville though, we can only spend what we have and this amazing stadium has restricted us. For me it's a debate over doing things our way and not giving into the wealthy billionaires club. Versus selling up to a billionaire and throwing money for success. The longer we go without winning things the more we'll want the latter.

It will be amazing if we do it our way though but the more teams like City dominate the less likely we can do it. This league has turned into a super league. We're looking at Liverpool, City and Chelsea continue to win week in and week out. It's getting to a point now where you have to beat every team in the top 6 home and away to challenge for the title. Then win the top games to decide it. My heart sides with Neville because I want us to be different, my head sides with Carragher because I don't believe it's possible now. This is now a billionaires playground and if you can't beat them join them.
We will have to join them just to have a chance good post by the way.

I don't think he ever had the pace to get on that. It's as if people think he had pace before his injury. He looks sharp of late to me. Our final ball to him is generally the big issue. He'll start firing once Eriksen and Alli hit form.

I agree he’s been hit hard by Alli’s goals and form drying up. Let’s hope his injury is behind him.

Since when did we spend 200m the cold must have got to his noggin.

Where's Dele's new contract?
Where's Eriksen's new contract?
Where's the squad investment to allow us to push on and win things which Poch and others will have been assured of when they signed their contracts?

If you think all is well in the camp, you're deluding yourself.
Check the Dele thread.

Announced a mere 10 minutes after my post.

Behold my influence.

Don't mention it, you're all welcome.

Eriksen's coming in an hour.

Yeah so you could have just said we'll win the league a few times on here but obviously you didn't, you're useless.

I agree with him, spending money carelessly can have a huge impact that can make you suffer for years' to come. However, that's not what we /Poch/everybody is demanding. We don't and don't want to be spending 200m every year, we'd be over the moon with one or two quality additions now and add to that gradually year on year. That's not reckless, that's been smart and showing progression.

Absolutely. See also: people's blind hatred for Aurier, who apparently was responsible for Trippier's brainfarts last night.

The fact Aurier had two excellent games before getting injured has apparently been forgotten.

Thing is we won the lottery getting 3 quarters of a good team for nothing - spending big on the final pieces is a sensible strategy when everything else is in place.

Good timing and news on the dele contract will ensure top dollar if he was to go well done Daniel on that score.

In fairness, Mo Salah has suffered a similar dip in form this season after a blistering 2017-18.

The difference is, Salah has Mane and Firmino to bang them in in his absence, and full backs who don't tend to fall asleep on duty.
That's the thing, we have Eriksen, Son and Alli to bang them in for us but neither have really got going this season. I feel there will be a knock on affect soon. They'll all start to click and it will only be a matter of time before they're banging goals in. Any defensive frailties will be less evident when we're scoring goals at the other end.

Unfortunately today's football is about finances staying high up the Premier League and the income it provides plus getting into CL if possible , we are not going to win the PL or CL we don't have enough money to buy those trophies.

In 2016 Juventus paid a reported £81 million for Higuain two years later he has now gone on loan to AC Milan for a reported £16 million with Juventus buying Ronaldo in for a reported £105 million, fans have to be realistic Spurs cannot compete with that sort of spending or that done by the likes of Man U & City.

Now ENIC need to step up to the plate and invest in our squad - not City amounts but we need to show we are a football club first and foremost
I am sure we are not building a cathedral or a mega shopping mall. That new Stadium in N17 is a testament that ENIC is aware that Spurs is a football club first and foremost
