he's not that good, thats why he's a back-up. Ive got nothing against him, back-up keepers are like back-up quarterbacks - but Lloris is better and should have started such an important game.
Not that good?
He gave up being a first choice PL goalkeeper to sit on our bench for 90% of the time, how many other PL teams have got that luxury?
Besides, I don't think he did a lot wrong tbh...hardly his fault we lost is it?

I think the City game broke us.:(

I thought we looked as sluggish against Stoke, but people forget it because we won. Even against Chelsea we started poorly and got back in it with a big effort. Prior to that games like Bournemouth and Palace big spells of the game where we were off.

Of course you cant control every second of every game, but a fair few games for games for a while now, even when winning, it's not exactly been wonderful performances, particularly in terms of our work rate and intensity, and incrementally you get certain individuals displaying fatigue or form is a bit off etc, or clearly still unfit, as in Kane's case.

But Poch has ploughed on......

I am sad and tired. Almost 3am here.

My Sunday is all by ruined

In summary...

It wasn't our day, it wasn't the teams day, it wasn't Poch's day.

On a different day, we would have gotten the decisions.
On a different day, shots that ever just wide, or off the post would have gone in
On a different day, we would have fought tooth and nail to the final whistle, making the opposition defend for their lives
On a different day, the team will come out fired up for the 2nd half
On a different day, our subs will will make and impact and turn the game around.

But that wasn't today. Bad luck, bad preperation... And it wasn't written in the stars.

Maybe..... Next season.

Disagree. We were shit, we bottled it.

Vorm did absolutely nothing wrong, no way on earth Lloris is saving either of the 2 goals today.

Typical bloody Spurs! build you up and then when it matters most dropped like a lead balloon.
Piss poor 2nd half display and don't recall De Gea making a save.

Lamela onto late & don't get why Victor came on at all.
Totally pissed right off again! wow 8 semi finals is just a joke.

Won't be at all surprised to see us blow top 4.

We are Spurs and fucking up is our speciality

That's one thing about Mourinho - He knows how to win important games and trophies.

I don't know how often i read on here how poor United are and how Mourinho is done or look unmotivated. Yet they are the ones on course for their third trophy in 2 Seasons

Problem is we can’t keep saying it just wasn’t our day and decisions didn’t go for us, or if this happened or if that happened we would have won.

It’s never a different day, it’s always the same and somehow we have to change the mentality that it “just wasn’t our day’ into ‘this is going to be our day’

I think/ hope Poch is the man to do it, but he has to do something different to what he has been doing the last few years.

If a Poch can’t do it with this squad I don’t know who the hell can and we could be in for another long period without the trophy we crave.

Agree but never gonna happen. Toby is clearly gone

Poch is again putting our chance of trophies at jeopardy so he can just do what Levy wants, its clear Levy and Toby agents have fallen out and he now cant get a game. Our best CB last year cant get in our first 11 for a SF cup game

Sorry but Poch needs to learn fast, fans are turning!
The fans are not turning lol, who we going to get if he goes....seriously.

We should have had Toby's contract rapped up at the end of last season when we were on a high.

Our owners wont speculate to accumilate and believe in the what Poch is doing.

Instead we will carry on investing in youth and as long as the fans keep turning up and spending money Levy is happy. and in 10 years time we will look back at this team/manager and think 'of what might have been' .

dunno, he didnt move on either goal. not really upset with him - upset with Poch for not putting the better keeper in. Dont know if Lloris would have made a difference but its the lack of desire on Poch's part that upsets me.

If llorente had be performing as poorly as Kane has since his return from injury he would be slated by every fan here and benched. Yes he has earned the right to be off the pace, but Poch needs to bench him for a bit and ease him back slowly as a sub. He looks slow, unfit, heavy and lacking confidence. I love him but constantly playing regardless is not helping ether him or the team.

On a side note, I can't remember the last time I saw so many spurs fans arrested after a match, really unpleasant scenes from us lot, was properly kicking off on the station stairs. Fans fight eachother and police.

I agree but he is in credit for all that has went before
That's irrelevant to now: he's not fit, he put no pressure on their defenders, he lacked the confidence to take the shots he normally would, and right now he's affecting the fluidity of our play.

What winds me up so much is Poch comments this week, just read them again....!

If this is how to inspire confidence in a team - really?

How is the FA Cup and League Cup not good enough for Spurs, yet City won it this year? Utd/Chelsea are going all out for FA Cup, all 3 of them won far more trophies then us in the last 10 years, so fuck off Poch is it not going to change us

Poch needs a serious reality check and realise he is not at Mourinho/Wenger level re winning things, fuck me Martinez and Redknapp have won more than him, he needs to realise he needs trophies.

If he doesn't win anything next year, he must come under pressure

I think we are officially the new A*****l, CL is all Danny boy is bothered about, keep the cash rollin in!!!

Disappointing to hear, frustrations boiling over I suppose.
