I had a feeling things might not go our way after Dele did his impression of Alan Pardew.........
Don't you dare try and bring the funnies in here, people are mourning today's loss and the future capitulation of THFC!

i think when you develop a good team its more about keeping what you have, investing more on the wages side and making maybe one key signing per season.

I'd honestly rather we kept our best players and didnt sign anyone than keep going round in circles all the time.
I don't think money is the key to keeping our players, competing for trophies and winning them is.

This sums things up pretty well and fairly I think.

Too often in the past Tottenham’s failures have been put down to character, when in fact they have just not been good enough. They should have won this game. Not every defeat is a bottle, but this one was. Losing to the better team is a defeat, but being the better team and losing is a bottle.
You should read the rest of the article, because the comments are in the context of how good we have become. I think the players realise that. I still believe that had we not rushed Kane back and allowed the Kane-less team to develop then we would have known how to shift gears.

Well, both is with the reality of the current game however we offer none so more will follow suit to Walker and again, today proves why he was more than justified to leave.

Yes but we’ve lost a league cup final and two FA cup semi finals on the bounce, that’s not narrative it’s facts.
So true, what are you going to do about it? By the way, you can prove anything with facts.

You should ask the ManU fanbase, because they've not been a happy bunch.
The difference is that their fans have seen them win trophy after trophy after trophy already in living memory; as a fanbase their club has conditioned them to expect trophies as a minimum, so you can see why they would aspire to trophies and attractive football.

As Spurs fans, trophies have been a rare, rare occurrence for us over the last quarter of a century, so you'd think that we would be a bit less entitled and just be happy if we could gain an increased trophy haul no matter how dull the football was. I'd be happy with that; and quite rightly because that would be an improvement on what I've seen for my entire life as a Spurs fan.

I just watched the interview with Dele. Fuck me he looked so young. We need some proper men out there to help people like him along.

It's that ingrained sense of glorious failure that we just can't shake off - no matter if we finish in the top 4 or not;

'Spursy'
"...they need to win trophies or they'll lose their best players"
"put the pressure on"
"legends"

Whether we like it or not - and can obviously argue the toss over such comments - but shit sticks unfortunately and even Dele alluded to the fact that we can't just keep talking a good game, we have to back it up with something tangible i.e. lifting trophies!

Dier shot goes in just before HT different game such fine margins. What we need is pretty obvious . CM , moura looked good again when came on but not sure if still need someone dynamic. All our 4 full backs are currently ok but nowhere near where we were with walker and fit Rose. On the plus side thought Dier was class today. Truly believe he could become a world class CB if played there regularly.

Shite game, shite performance but the one thing I'm wondering is if we'd have gone 2-1 up is there any chance we could have closed the game out like they did? None whatsoever imo. That is something we really need to learn to do. Win ugly and close a game out when you have the chance to. It shouldn't be that hard to do with the players we have. Instead, we just shit ourselves in situations like that.

Eugh the amount of United fans getting off at my stop. Makes me sick.
One of my United supporting friends just text me "Great game, mate!" He's not the type to deliberately wind me up but I had to refrain from a very snappy response. Fcuk em!
