We are a damn good business and have been for a very long time but we have been a very ordinary football club when it comes to success on the pitch for a very long time. No point qualifying for european competitons when you dont even come close to winning (including europa).
Im affraid to say under this regime and leadership we will not win a trophy as we do not have enough players with winning mentality when it matters ie leaders on the pitch to pull us thru. If we are going to get a winning mentality we need to spend some of our money on to players with experience in winning titles and trophies to help the youngsters thru. But that will not happen under this regime. What hurts me the most is we have not come thru 8 semi-finals yes 8 that is an absolute fucking joke, we flogged winning the league when leicester won it, i dont care what anyone says but we should of won the title that season. Lost league cup final eight semi-finals flogged two title winning attempts, and we lost to Juventus and UTD today in the manner we did just shows how far we are from winning a trophy. Dont get me wrong with potentially 3 seasons reaching the champions league and being around the top 4 is an unbelievable achievment. But the long and short of it we havent won anything. Reaching the champions league is just all about the income for the club, and doesnt matter winning trophies. What done it for me is when Poch stated yesterday " winning the FA Cup is not important" Fuck me Poch of course its fucking important what a shit statement which just clarifies where we are as a club. All about the money and not trophies!!!!

I think what is really killing us at the moment are the full backs. There is hardly any threat coming from them and it allows teams to becomemore compact and harder to break down. We really need to upgrade these areas this summer.
They're not good enough defensively, and going forward.. well, Davies brings absolutely nothing and Trippier who should be good isn't doing anything that suggests he should be our number one.

This argument just doesn’t hold up. Look at all the players that have left to win things and have won things. We might be a better club now, but we aren’t investing in winners and we aren’t winning anything
Who responsibilty was it to win today. To go the extra mile to put Man United to bed? Which one of our world stars showed they were head an shoulders above anyone else and deserved a move to a big club to win things. Winning and losing a game sits squarely at the feet of the players. And not one of them performed when it mattered? Did Walker stand out this year at Man City? Was he the reason they won the league? Was he bollocks. Good player. Left to win a trophy with a super stellar amount of players and a bottomless pit of money. Verts is the only one who can legitimatley walk off that pitch and say to his agent. I’ve given my all this year and want a move.

Btw, Poch used that phrase twice on different occasions after the match. I hope people take him upon it, specifically whether he is going to leave and whether it is dependent on what Levy will do with early puchases.

And fucking good luck to verts if he decides to walk at his age you cannot blame him if city or Utd come calling like walker he wants or should want to win things and that won't happen at spurs sadly.
Many spurs fans and fans of other clubs take the piss out of arsenal and their weak mentality but they have won 3 out of the last 4 FA cups which I am envious of.
Clubs like arsenal, Chelsea, city and Utd reach finals regularly we on the other hand just can't very frustrating.

I agree i hope half the fucking team go make a bucket load of money and hopefully have a different philosophy towards winning trophies. Going down a different route might move us on again. But under ENIC its all about how much they can make on player sales and income for there deep pockets, one big gravey train and we are the hard working mugs that line their pockets..

Why do you only turn up after we lose?

The utter bollocks you roll out is the same fucking sentiment with the words moved around. Pretty tiresome considering you haven't been anywhere to be seen since your last shitfit.

What different route do you suggest, Einstein? Thanks for snapping me out of my maudlin state. ENIC is an investment company, after all, so I don't know what you're getting so worked up about them making a profit. At the same time, the club is being built up. We haven't had the benefit of being financed by national wealth.

ENIC have done a lot of good for us we are where we are today because of it but they are an investment company who buy to make a profit on at a later date which is nothing wrong with that.
Sadly we still someway short of winning anything not through bad luck as 8 semi-final defeats is not down to bad luck but instead has become a concrete overcoat that the club and the players do not yet have the balls to shed.
After being there today I am left wondering will I ever see a successful spurs team again instead of being the nearly men year after year.

But we can’t compete with the Oil Slavers or United or Real or PSG in the game of buying established stars. The only way we can compete is to build a team ethos that is sustainable and renewable (via academy etc).

United are spunking 400 grand a week on Sanchez and they got a little return today. Which “winners” exactly do you want us to “invest” in and how much do you suggest we “invest”?

Not having a go - just think it’s complicated.

Based on where we were, we have been successful.
